Omid Djalili

I went to see him today at the Soho Theatre. The guy is a comic genius, i haven't laughed so much in ages. You might have seen him on the Tsunami Relief programme on the BBC, otherwise he's been in loads of movies. Although alot of his dates are sold out he's anounced some more in June for his 'Work in Progress' performance. With tickets only £8 it's not one to miss, infact i'd be willing to pay more!

Bit off topic, but does any of you lot now something about Jimmy Carr. I saw him on a re-run of BBC's Top Gear last night, I thought he was funny as hell, plus he drove really fast in the "reasonably priced car". (H)

Jimmy Carr is a funny guy. I remember him doing a program on BBC with some other guy where they explore the strange culture in Japan. Good laugh that.

Nowhere near as good as Lee Evans or Carlos Dee (who he's somewhat similar too) though.

Jimmy Carr was funny in small doses, but now he presents everything and is a guest on everything else, I am sick to death of him.

In my opinion, the best of the 'new breed' of comedians are Bill Bailey and Dara O'Brien.

That's Dave Atell.

Jimmy Carr hosts a Gameshow on Comedy Central over here called distraction where contestants try to answer questions while getting hit in the balls by paintballs and crapped on by pigeons.

Haha, same thing for me when I met my dad's bestfriends brother in law who was called Anthony Daniels, I had absolutely no idea who he was but found out later he's the gay robot in Star Wars.

Both of them have been around for ages. Bill Baily is great on Nevermind the Buzzcocks.
No longer than Jimmy Carr, I certainly consider them amongst the new breed.
