Paint Shop Pro 8

for those of you that use paint shop pro 8, can 1 of u's plz tell me how i can put 1 image on top of another because i can make layers etc but i cant copy an image on top because it jst opens a new picture, can sum1 help me?

this is 1 of my first sigs so pla tell me what u think, i cant layer images aswell so bare that in mind lol

If i remember correctly, you copy the image you want to put on another image, then open the background where you want to put the pic and then under Edit (?) menu you choose Paste>Paste as new selection or Paste as new transparent selection.I think i got it right
