The game was a blast... 4-1, and actually it could be more, couldn't it... funny thing is that Turks, before the game, were sure that they will win... they did not mention their national side, just their team... After the game, they remembered that Galata won the UEFA cup, that their national team got the 3rd place in the World Cup... they found out that greeks are homos (which is untrue)... they also calim that they are "real men"... which is unaccurate... 4) According to amnesty international Human rights are violated in Turkey more than in any other European Country!! Ethnic and Religious minorities and left-wing politicians are depressed!! Being put in prison for no reason and executed...
5) Literacy rate is just above 50% Especially in isolated territories of Anatolia very few people can read or write...
6) Social Security does not exist!!
7) Corruption in public-political and economical life can only be compared with African nations!!
8) The Turksih people IS REALLY SUFFERING!!
9) The modern Turkish state is based on the ideas of a very intelligent politician: Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, who was a Dolme (jewish converted to Islam, who actually remained jewish)... His basic principals were a. move turkey closer to Europe (he even changed the alphabet from arabic to latin) b. move turkey away from Islam c. "all people living in turkey are turks, and should be proud of it" even the larger Ethnic minority the Kurds (numbering several million) are officially referred to as "mountain turks

I have been with my friends reading the responses on this forum, helpin them reply back..
But im tired of this.
Panathinakos, are a great team,
and Hellas is a great nation, i visited Rhodes this summer it was excellent, so beautiful. Beautiful people and women..
These comments i think we were making on both sides went too far and i dont think we meant them to full seriousness.
Turks and Greeks, whats diffrent between us? A name and religion.
Our cultures are similar, our people are one in the same.
Turkiye and Hellas are the best possible thing for Euro2008.
and i dont want it to be ruined by, a few hooligan fans.

im not blaming you, im trying to end this.
I like greeks, i have alot of greek friends at my school.
The point is, i think we have to frogive eachother for the hurtful words, and look to the future.
Turkiye was angry at the Panthinakos fans because alot of them were being very disrespectful in Turkey.
On the other hand the banner, that was reased at Sukru Sarcoglu was wrong.
But then their were reports in Turkish news from Greek sources , that they were threatening to kill fenerbahces fans if they showed up. We heard that AEk and Olyimpiakos fans were backing Panathinakos!
This got both sides angry and got the whole nations involved.
But these fans, are hooligans, These guys dont get respect on daily life in turkey or greece, so why should we give them respect when they say things like "No 2008" these guys are brain dead morons who arent fit too live in either of our countries
thats the bottom line.

I agree 100%...Pana is a great team and to tell you guys the truth i wasn't really expecting fener to win in greece, our keeper who is one of the worlds top keepers screwed up BAD, but i'm not taking anything away from pana because YES they did win and i accept the loss...But please let's stop bashing Greece and Turkey when our culture is so similar...I'm sorry for all that i said if YOU GUYS ARE SORRY TOO!
