Passing complaint

Ive noticed now since im playing online now for a while that passing in pes4 is way too easy. You can easily close your eyes and pass the ball from defence untill your striker without losing it and without aiming. Some noobs i was playing have this tactic. I always knew to what player he was gonna pass so i blocked the way but it always seem to round me.
There should be more freedom in passing, in this way its just ping pong soccer. Manual pass system is good in theory, but in practice it sux.




And another thing. Wtf is up with this cpu defending for you. Sometimes I make a noob reall dizzy with my moves just too see that the cpu all of a sudden steps in to help a hand for him




And anothing thing. WTF is up with this temporary mindloss of my players when there is a lose ball. Especially when playing against the "stars" of real madrid my player seem to have longer mindlosses. btw how many times have you won a header from Ronaldo/Henry/Zidane etc Bull****

i think in gameplay WE8 is nothing better than WE7...but it does have better graphics....well,nothing is perfect,maybe WE9 will be better

and wtf is with the crossing. If my player is completely free in the box. I cant reach him, the ball goes 80% of the time to the player that is marked by eight man. Too much scripted play

the mind loss pisses me off too. When there's a loose ball beside a player you're not controling, they just look at it... and sometimes when the computer is doing a counter attack, i try switching to a player from my defence but the game always switches to a midfielder and i have to chase him down so that i get the ball, and my defenders just look at him go forward, and they move away from him so that he can blast it at the goalie...

thnx the first person with an normal reply. I should try that, but in pes3 i remembered that with manual crossing it was a bitch to double tap a cross. Didnt try yet in pes4, but i think there will be a problem to give a double tap cross and choose the right amount of power

And another complaint. WTF is up with the budging. Its sometimes more of a wrestling game. I know in real life it happens, but it happens to much in pes4 and you hardly get a free kick for that. Especially when your in duel with Ronaldo/Vieri/Adriano. I know they are strong players, but even BIG Stam always gets budge away(even by a little saviola). Even budging from behind is allowed, resulting in your player tripples like an idiot, very annoying when your about to go 1on1 with the keeper. I think they should scrap this in the next pes because theres no skill required in budging players. Skill is timing your tackle and taking the ball away withouth budging, instead of button bashing on [X] all the time

I like the passing in PES4. It feels slightly automated at times due to the AI. You don't want to concentrate too much on the direction and power of your passes simply because, by the time you've thought about it, you'd be dispossessed.

Plus, at times you will see passes go astray. I often have daft moments like that. It's only things like long passes that require a lot of practice and thought.

The point is that the system works well and gives a flow to the game.

Budging from behind is really annoying, I sometimes have a breakaway and a defender just easily messes me up.

the best we/pes-version for pc is still we7i, the responsiveness was much better than in both pes-versions for pc, the AI acted realistic and the passing system was a bit better, too. But pes4 is still a great game (and clearly better than pes3!), konami added three completely licenced leagues, much more editing options (e.g. supporter's flags, fanchants in adx-files), new moves (especially the freekick variety), new animations(the referee on the pitch) and improved some minor things, but it seems to me as if they took pes3/pc and not we7i/pc as the basis for pes4( pc ).
let's hope we8i will improve the responsiveness, the passing system and especially the goalkeepers!
