Patches for Winning eleven 9 for PC

I apologize in advance if this question has already been answered, but I have searched for the last 3 days to find a world cup patch or kit update that is designed for WE9 for the PC. Everything I have seen is for PES5, and the only posts answering questions in this regard have been confusing as to whether applying the world cup patch made for pes5 will change the gameplay or even work on WE9.

I am new to editing PES or WE but I have been reading the last few days and successfully imported some face files made for WE9, I just can't find any discussion of patches for we9 to update the names, stadiums and uniforms for the upcoming world cup (I realize we9 was just released here in the states, but I thought it was released in europe a while ago).

actually superpatch 3 works for we9, im using it now. dont apply the e_text and e_sounds files because they're for menu and it will cause we9 to crash. apply 0_text.afs and 0_sound.afs and the option file. As almost nobody uses sp3 online with we9 u gotta restore back the online roster to default ones. however sp3 we9 also works online, but many people dont know about it.

I've tried using the Super Patch with we9, and for the most part it works. The 4 new teams that were added who made the World Cup don't have the proper country names (I believe this can only be edited in the .exe itself, and I have yet to find a tool that will work successfully with we9). Also, with the option file, it doesn't seem to automatically read it when I start up, and it keeps asking me to enter my name. So I have to skip that screen and load the option file manually, otherwise it overwrites my Super Patch option file with the default and I lose everything. Anyone else experienced this?

To answer Sauron's question, I have yet to find a we9 PC specific patch. :nape:

Have you successfully edited the we9.exe? I've tried WES Editor before, even downloaded the latest version, and it won't recognize the files. I even asked the creator in this thread http://www.soccergaming.tv/showthread.php?t=132126 if it was compatible with we9 PC North America, and he replied that it is not.

If you got it working, please let us know how. Thanks!

you have to rename the pes5 sp3 option file to whatever the we9 option file is called or else it wont be recognized. majority of changes offline result from the option file

Yes, I did rename the file. It won't recognize it on start up (hence the "enter your name" screen). However, if I go to WE Options > Data > Load Option File, then it loads right up and all the player/team names are changed.

The problem is, I have to do this every time I start the game up, so it gets a bit annoying.

I get some weird error messages while editing and saving, but the changes go in....I use Watson 2.0 with some of my own edits and it works well...of course I don't have many addons in, due to the fact that I just got the game (I was using WE8I - Vuelta del Lobo).
Oops.....now I know why....I used PESTools not PESEditor....although both worked for me (I tried all of the tools and those ones worked) and you have to put the name as Trinidad, or T & T or something, otherwise it is too long and will cause other team names to be weird......

Let's see....
I used WESEditor and it changed the name fine...just as Trinidad. Is that more concise? I changed Venezuela to Trinidad & Tobago, and it erased the Uruguay name, so I just left it as Trinidad and it works fine
