Yeah lol. Having waited two years to score, he finally does and he retires. I think everyone would understand if he had retired because he failed to break the drought, but having done so, I thought he'd have been eager to keep playing.

I dont think he was at threat from Lampard. Both had a cemented place in the squad, and if anyone should feel threatened, it should be Beckham.
