I just put a 45 yard free kick into the top corner. read this post afterwards or i woudl have taken ascreen shot
funny thing is that i didnt quite get the shot bar on the green line, so i thought it would go over

every single game i play i concede the same goal
cant do a goddam thing about it
com plauer passes ball forward, striker runs forward and scores
defenders are never anywhere near to be able to defend
got to the point, when i see the ball go through, i just feel like lettign go of the keys and waiting . it anoys me so much i am about ready to delete the game. totatlly spoils an other wise great game
dont get me wrong, sometimes real life strikers make runs and have a shot, but evey single game, and every single game the defenders are no where and every singel time keeper runs out on its own , and the striker scores
you think the players woudl have some AI and learn what is about to happen

I know what you mean, i had the same problem for a while when i started playing it.
I dont know how to help you but i will try....
Try to make tackels with your midfeild, and back of with your defenders. Dont run in with your defenders trying to intercept the ball before it gets to your attackers, cos then your screwed.
Keep backing off, and till the reach you the put the tackles in. Not slide tackles tho.
If a player is clean through, your full backs will stand and watch him. So what you gota do is select them and make them run towards the box (not the player) and if you are lucky you will get there just in time to make a tackle or even slide in to block the shot and knock the ball away!
Best thing is to practice. Play loads of matches on world class on concentrate on keeping the score as low as possible by just defending dont worry about attacking.
Then concentrate soley on keeping a clean sheet. You will start to notice once you do this you will steal the odd goal and win mathces.
Defence will soon become second nature and you can concentrate on getting those goals and kicking the computer ass!!!
Winning a world cup with england on world class. Is a very acceptable standard to be at. So that is your aim.
