PC Version - Bugged

Just a heads-up really, I've taken a few screenshots from the game. It runs pretty jerkily on my computer, there's no option to change graphics detail in the menu except resolution (had to change an ini) plus no inbuilt way to remap controls (though you can do it if you mess about with the ini's, again). Controls feel so sluggish too.... I played the X-Box version before and I found it quite fun though. Might have been because I was playing with a friend, I dunno.

Not only that, these screenshots prove that this game hasn't been tested all that well and/or was rushed out the door. The champions league group stages always have the same group structures. 3 english teams in group A, the other in group B. AC Milan and Inter Milan always in the same group too for each of the 5 years (coincidence?). Group H was always very, very weak. I simulated career mode, which at the end of it all didnt seem to unlock anything but I could be wrong.

It's also a shame that the stadiums aren't more unique for each team! They could have easily had loads of 'stand' designs for each side of the pitch and designated 4 of them for each team depending on what their stadium looked like. Very disappointing that my team Portsmouth are playing at a ground way bigger than they're really at, I was hoping Fratton Park would look like Fratton Park. Never mind.

Sorry that's a lot of bitching about the game, I hope it doesn't cause too much of a riot I'm sure there's some fun to be had cos I certainly enjoyed it on the X-Box. Anyway here's the screens of the bugs

Sloppy programming. I´m dissapointed, but not the least bit surprised.
I don´t´understand how they can go through the trouble and change shoe colors and stuff for players but don´t bother to look over the structure of the career mode.

I dont see anything wrong with those screenshots!! I think u guys r too ubsessed! ITS A GAME not a simulation of real life football! Com on man :rolleyes:

Ignore the semi final thing that's not a bug, but anyway there's some pretty slack things in there and as a programmer myself the omissions are just shameful. But fair enough, I hope you enjoy it nonetheless if these issues aren't important to you.

well in case u don't know people prefer games to be as close to real life as possible..

Well, I don't mind about the groups...
But about the controls configuration... dind't Matt Holmes say that the buttons were completely configurable from the menues in the FULL GAME.

ManWithNoMouth..how do u change the detail level with the ini......Mine suck, the default is very poor....Dont even have lighting....couldja gimme a hand on how to modify the ini?

control settings???

manwithnomouth, how can you change the control settings with an ini file?? What ini file?? I hace been searching even inside config.dat (config.big) files and I haven't found anything. Thank you!!!

there are 3 english clubs in the same group. that's the real problem.

To Vicente14:

Go to /data/cmn and load up ini_pc.big in notepad or similar program.

Line 192 (or thereabouts) it will say,

ACTIVE_CONIFG = PC_H

You will notice in the CMN directory there are files called cfg_pc_h.ini (high detail) cfg_pc_m.ini (medium detail) and cfg_pc_l.ini (low detail)

So change ACTIVE_CONFIG to PC_L or PC_M to turn it down to the level you want. To change the settings load up the cfg_pc_h (or m or l) and you can edit each line to turn off shadows for example and other things, or turn things on.

To Aldaron:

I only know how to change settings for controllers. Load up /data/system/config.dat

There are button maps for each controller (though they are very hard to understand). As far as I can tell it lists a controller name, the number of buttons, the controller description, then the 'number' corresponding to a function for each button. It will take a lot of playing around swapping numbers and I'm afraid I can't help you with that, it's very unintuitive.
