i know theres quite a few fans (hugo, yes?) on here, and their new album came out on tuesday... i wouldnt even know they had a new album if i wasnt setting up the display for it.

im listening to it for the first time now and so far i like it a lot (Y)

Somehow I never got into Pearl Jam. Not that I don't like them but I've never really taken time to listen to their music. I think this might be a good time to start listening.

They have a few great songs, "Alive", "Even Flow", "Black", "Jeremy" are worth mentioning. In fact, their whole "Ten" album is one of the best rock albums out.

Heard their new song "World Wide Suicide" on the radio the other day, and I wasn't very impressed.

yeah songs like Given To Fly or Even Flow are so much better live than the album version.

It's not my favourite band, but I have a lot of respect for Pearl Jam and I already bought tickets to watch them live here in September.

1) Yoss, mega-thanks for that link. Fyi we're all rocking like hell over here as I write these lines.

2) Haven't heard their new stuff yet (apart from the live songs on SNL and Letterman) because I buy music from bands I respect. I'll get their album this weekend.

3) Pearl Jam are the Stones of our time, and we've had our share of great bands. They totally rock, literally one of the best live acts ever.

4) We should do a poll about what's their best album. For me it's between 'Vitalogy' and 'Vs', and '10' right after.

5) It's been exactly 10 years since I seen them live. Fack. I was 19yo... Times passes but we're both still here. What a day that was, back in 96. Everything, from the 600Km trip to the show itself, from watching guys weep like little girls watching the show to me handshaking Eddie during the show!
I want to be there next September too, Virgo.
