This is interesting... if they do bring it back it would have to be league-owned like all the other teams in MLS, it can't be privately owned. But do we really need another New York team in MLS? It would make for some rivalry but it could lower the MetroStars' attendance signifcantly.

No, with Cities like Atlanta with no MLS side right now, there is no way New York needs another team. They should expand in to two markets that don't have a team yet before doing that. Like Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC and Phoenix, AZ or Seattle, WA, or any other city, no city needs two teams before others have one, especially in such a small league (amount of teams wise).
