Penalty Shootout [PC Question] : Goalkeeper control

Question : How do you control the Goal Keeper Properly in a Penalty shootout.

I've formerly been just mashing the Directional Keypad and QWASDF hoping to block the shot. But I've gotten so frustrated I was hoping for any help on these forums.

Does anyone know the controls for the pc when controlling the Goalie in a Penalty Shootout?

nvm
i press the direction key just before he shoots. it's all about timing i think because if you press them to early he'll move about on the goalline

I usually press the lob button, which is 'A' on a keyboard + the direction you wish your keeper to dive for the ball.

Not sure if a button acction (A) is essential, don't want to risk otherwise!
