PES 08 Start-up issue

I've been playing PES 08 successfully for a couple of months now, and tried to update the image files a couple of days ago.

Clearly something has gone wrong, and now the game wont start - it just goes to a black loading screen with 'PES08' in the bottom left-hand corner, and a load of bubbles coming out of it.

Strangest of all, I've uninstalled and reinstalled half a dozen times now and there's no change.

Please, someone, help me.

I had a very simelar issue, I had to remove the option file before the game would load.

Once the game has loaded then add the option file.
