There are plenty of threads talking bout how to run the demo...bout time we started talking bout the football that's happening after people manage to get it going
Think this will be especially good for the PES noobs to get an idea of how you can use the formation screen to use real world football tactics.
I'll kick it off
Been playin mostly with England so far and have found:-
- Changing Beckham and Dyer to Left and right midfielders opens up the width of the field. They also get in behind the defence alot more, with Dyer especially making some nice diagonal runs. (you can change positions though formation->set formation->select position)
- Changing Scholes to an OMF makes a big difference. When Owen gets the ball out wide hold it up for a second and Scholes will make his trademark darting runs to the edge of the box, using the space left by owen's wide run.
- Under the quick settings menu(great new addition to PES3 and WE7) I'm using balanced and switching to Counter-attack when getting battered, you'll see a marked difference in player movement whatever you chose in this section.
- For subs : Rooney's stats aren't brilliant but his teamwork rating is excellent, in the 90's with most attacking players so will link up well with Beckham, Scholes and Owen...which works especially well when the opposition defenders are starting to tire.
(you can check this by pressing the long ball button when making subs- press once it will change the formation diag to numbers, press again will show the numbers and coloured lines...teamwork is very important in PES)
Anyone with any tips on how to use Italy, Germany, Spain and England, give us your thoughts be it PC, PS2 or WE7.
