Seriously though there's not a whole lot constructive to do(PES3 wise) until the game comes out. Now the kit format is cracked and hopefully the method used will work on PC version, I think this forum will rock.

according to almost everyone on the fifa forums, the difficulty cannot be changed in the demo, i have played on all difficulties and noticed no marked difference, where as in the full 2003 there was a heap. So im inclined to agree with them.

Haven't tried the raptors...If you use demofactory it creates a locale.ini file in your base directory - in there it has DIFFICULTY_LEVEL = 0 ...0=amateur, 1= semi-pro, 2= pro and 3 = world class. Definite change in cpu aggresiveness as you go up the levels.

Based on your analogy the fact that you admitted you have never played Fifa2004 means that France has yet to play its closests rival Brazil...so how can you know that France is the best???

You have only seen France play and they look good in fact extremely good...but that doesn't mean France is the best hands down until they played Brazil....

It`s true that the speed of some player`s are too slow although they past a defender and have speed 90 they can caught up by a defender with speed 70.
Can remember the ISS 98 version had the fastest runners .If players like Ronaldo, Owen or Shevchenko past a defender at middlepost, they could create more space. It was fun cause you could have many 1 vs.1 situations. But in real you can hardly see many situations like that. With speed passing the defender are Henry,Owen Ronaldo and other players with exceptional speed. Let`s say in every 10th match you can see such 1 vs.1 in a real match, more statiscaly.
But I think Konami is improving every time to keep the game realistic and adding more and more options every year. Not like Fifa they change every year the gameplay.
They want to imitate ISS, cause they put the annoying arrows away in FIFA 2004, running is also more like ISS.Changing the default buttons are annoying,too.
I think the most important fact is that japanese are the better programmers in gameplay and they love soccer. I doubt that the canadians are football fans.

I can't understand why some people are bagging this game just because of the lack of teams and licences...

OK, it would be nice to have tons of licenced clubs and national teams in PES3, but because they're missing doesn't mean to say that the game is crap is it?

Gameplay is the most important feature of any game after all, and in PES3, it's the nearest we've got to real football in terms of simulation. Get off ya bloody soapbox FIFA zealots

The only gripes that I have with the game I can live with, those being the loading times, which are a bit slow, the stuttering problem with the replays, which is cos of the limitations of PS2 hardware I guess, and of course the referees...

I still feel the referees are too harsh with their decisions at times, though, compared to PES2, they're better but there's still plenty of room for improvement - for example, I had a player red carded for a sliding tackle that didn't even trip the opponent over in the centre circle!

But everything else is... well, to put it short it kicks FIFA's arse, and then some!

Well in PC those things doesn't happen... the loading times are very very fast.

After playing PES 3, i went back to fifa04 for a match (both PES 3 and FIFA 04 are new to me).. holy crap, the gameplay is retarded.. CPU messed up at its own end. shots are bullets, players don't respond properly, how the hell can you still play this game?? PES 3 all the way
