Whoah that page has got my modem huffin and puffin...220 thumbnails is a bit much for us 56kers. Great screens though.

Agreed...Can't wait to finally see a PES/WE game at a decent resolution. Also, it'll be interesting to see what the Soccergaming patching community can come up with, Master League converted to the English League will do me. :p

PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER 3 KICKS OFF ON PC

Konami's mighty, acclaimed football series on PS2 is heading to a new format

14:41 Konami has pretty much confirmed that a PC version of football game Pro Evolution Soccer 3 is in the works, according to reports. The info about the smash hit PS2 footie series appearing on a new format leaked out of last week's Games Convention event in Leipzig, Germany.Pro Evolution Soccer 3 on PC will apparently be a direct port of its PS2 cousin, albeit with re-designed player models; and it's expected toward the end of the year.

Despite the Pro Evo Soccer 3 on PC revelations at the Games Convention in Germany, Konami today would not confirm that the title existed. "All will be revealed at ECTS tomorrow," a spokesperson informed us. So hold on for 24 hours and we'll know all the facts.

Hopefully we'll get something concrete tomorrow...

I don't care what FIFA does:
It is about the same if you just looked at a Ferrari and you wonder what Volkswagen will do....

Well if you have played ISS3 from Konami than you will know what he means

I have a strange feeling it will be like ISS3, I don't want to buy a super computer just to run that game..

Different Department have different game
KCET--->PES Series,MGS series, Silent Hill, WE series
KCEO---->ISS series
So Just don't worry about the game quality

In addition, it appeared from some of the articles that the conversion was going to be jobbed out to another company. Aspyr is one such company, they convert stuff for Macintosh and PC and just recently released Tony Hawk 4 on PC (which plays just like the PS2 version, BTW, super smooth).

In addition, it's been said that they're creating new player models for the PC version. If they're bothering to make improvements on the game, you can bet the core engine is going to be optimized for performance on a PC (unlike ISS 3).

Does that mean they can get that done for 'normal' system specifications and not only for supercomputers?

PC version of Pro Evo 3 exists.

by Tom Bramwell

A PC version of Pro Evolution Soccer 3 is underway at KCET and will be released in November this year, according to reports last week from the Games Convention event in Leipzig.

Like its predecessors, PES3 is bound by a PS2 exclusivity arrangement, but as with the Silent Hill series, Konami is free to do whatever it wants with the game on the PC.

Last week's web reports said that the PC version would feature all the modes and animation routines of the PS2 version with new player models designed specifically for the PC version.

According to a Konami spokesman, PES3 for the PC exists, "sort of", and a release date is apparently yet to be confirmed.

Although the game won't be appearing at ECTS this week, the official announcement should be on the Konami press kit, hopefully with more details.

Meanwhile Winning Eleven 7, which topped the charts in Japan last week, has reportedly now sold more than one million copies.

ECTS 2003: Pro Evo 3 PC confirmation.

by Tom Bramwell

After implying yesterday that Pro Evo 3 on the PC was less than a dead cert and telling us to watch out for their ECTS press announcement, we finally got hold of the disc this morning and discovered all the supposedly unconfirmed details waiting for us in black and white. We can certainly see how this press release became the various news items we’ve read, so we’re guessing it also made an appearance at Games Connection in Leipzig.

Obviously there were no shots (or you’d be looking at them right now) and the game was decidedly absent from the Konami stand here at ECTS (which was very nice regardless - we like air conditioning and freshly squeezed orange juice), but the release is more specific than we expected - it does say November, it does say it’s underway at KCET right now, and it does say that we can expect to see everything from the PS2 version - including the new Shop and four-division Master League - and then some. However there is no mention of online multiplayer, just "multiplayer" – boo! Hiss! The referee’s a wanker![/url]

Finally :D, ECTS press disks have confirmation that KCET are putting the PC version together...November? hope so..

I played ISS3 and I know how crap and slow it was..what you dont get is KCEO which made ISS3 and KCET which makes pes/we series are completely different companies.except the name Konami in fronta them, there's no connection between them. And I'm saying again, Kcet always got the ps2 games very well to computer, and I believe they will do the same again.
