PES 3(PC) Better than 4 ?? Or is it just me !!

But how? How do you score so many?

I press the cross button. It's the "a" key in my PC. I sometimes press it once, sometimes I double tap it. I try it all the time. It never works. My players never ever manage to head the ball. The defence always clears.

Out of 30 crossing attempts, my player actually manages to connect with the ball on maybe 1 of them, and I think I'm being optimistic here.

Headers on target? When I do manage it (Once every two weeks, and I play 5-6 times a day), I break open a bottle of Champagne and start dancing. That's how rare it is for me.

Someone suggested that I try R2 so that the player in the box will make space for himself, but all it does is keep him even further away from the ball.

Again - I'm with the PC. Maybe you guys are playing with the PS2 or Xbox.

playing on pc too - and it works perfectly with Saitek analog 2500. and yeah, I make most of those goals with R2, and I can imagine the buttoncombos being difficult on a keyboard.

I think there may be a point to all that, that people playing keyboard on PC suffer from lag time (which clearly happen sometimes during menus where you can even go up and down without the cursor stuttering and no responding in time) and the difficulty of using the special moves.

That's the mortal combat thing, you can't score one on one by a single tap but you can always score with lob. You can't score header with a single tap, but you can using R2. You can't dribble normaly, but you can using special moves.

For that, the game sucks. All these special moves should be optionnal. For guys like nuno, who love to show off. For the rest of us the PC game should be re-tuned and only 3 or 4 keys - plus direction - should be enough.

Oh, and for nuno, yes time to time, although rarely you can score a header, a one on one with a tap, and you can dribble too only using the direction keys. But the likelyhood of you managing to score goals with these simple albeit 'real life' techniques is remote. I get 6 or 7 0-0 games in ML all the time during a season. GIven the 3 points victory that gets on my nerves.

Yeah, you can also train or go and buy a joypad... Yeah, Nuno, I know; the game is spotless.

They are not difficult if you configure your keyboard right.
I play with keyboard and don't have any trouble scoring or doing ANY tricks (except for manual passes - they are possible but difficult). So it's not about the controller type, it's about the player.

i think PES4 has lots improvement but still have somethings to fixed.what i like about WE8/PES4 : free kick(can feint),and lob shoot using R1 (much easier than using L1 :crazyboy: ),and of course...the graphics.......
else,i think the same.........

well about headers now i pretty much ONLY score headers with unmarked players

my players almost never outjump the defenders and even if they do they send the ball to africa.

on the other hand headers WERE too easy in PES3.

we need something in the middle i guess....

why i don't? i always win the header, free kick,corner,defending,attacking....i ALWAYS (maybe not always, but 9 of 10 chances i think :P) win the heading........ and IMO,the heading is more realistic than PES3........which is too easy

i played on PS2 and PC.on PC,i use gamepad...but no analog...and still,it's hard for me to master the manual pass( i never use it on the game :kader: )

Manual passes are harder on keyboard than on gamepad, but still not many people are using it because it's not that useful (only sometimes).

And I found out that BFF dribble is harder on gamepad, on keyboard is easier.

How the hell does anyone play pro 4 with the keyboard and expect to be/get good at it , no disrespect intended.
But surly a joypad of some description would be more feasable ?.

Pes really does rule the roost:rockman: :rockman:

Maybe some people can't be good with keyboard, but if you watch my compilations in game footage forum, you would see how good I am with keyboard (at least against the computer - not trying to brag, just want to show that it's possible to play attractive football even with keyboard).
It's the PES3 compilation(s), PES4 will come out when I collect some good goals worth entering the compilations :)

Yeah, I feel the same. one on one scoring is totaly reduced to chipping or blasting the ball under the bar, simple tapins aren't included. And grahics are surely sucky in PES4 compared to PES3. Why? This is a mistery to me, probably PS2 texture files aren't appropriate for PC hardware.
