Computers are also a popular method of accessing what is known as the internet.

This doesn't have anything to do with this though. What it does have to do with is the fact that there are, without a doubt, more people with capabilities for multiplayer with a computer than there are subscribers to xboxlive that will play PES4.

It would be completely illogical and just plain stupid to put online play for xbox but not PC.

I totally agree there, Eugene... There's also the fact that the PES series is a new addition to the XBox portfolio. This means that if the new online feature doesn't quite work on the XBox, people would most likely lose confidence in Konami's online gaming capabilities and probably not buy PES5 for XBox, hence there would have been no point in releasing the game on that console in the first place...

Th argument I heard was that Microsoft will provide the on-line part for the Xbox and Konami programs the rest. THAT is the reason why it will not be on PC, because on the PC Konami does not have the already finished and tested gaming-network, like Xbox live.

That's why it DOES make sense to make Xbox the first console to go on-line.

Do you understand what it means to add a online component to this? On xbox live Konami will have to hire specialist network programmers that know the xboxlive api. there's a ****load more work that will go into creating something for live than if they create their own internet component.

As I wrote in my previous post, Microsoft will do that work, did you overlook that?

honestly konami deserves to lose to fifa because of their stupid decisions, online should have been a priority over all gameplay and graphics changes for pes4. the game completely loses its replay value when there is no online

Yeah, that's rubbish. If it's on Xbox Live it will be on PC. The framework for online play is part of the game itself as programmed and created by Konami. You can't have another company creating an online part of a game totally separate from the rest of it - that's just stupid and I highly doubt Konami would ever allow it anyway. If PES4 is on Xbox Live, then it will be on PC Multiplayer also. Although i very much doubt it will be on either, as i find it hard to believe Konami would not have told us by now about such an amazing feature. I'd love to be wrong on that though.

They probably want us to think that it won't be implemented in the final version, so that we get a good surprise when they put it in.

On the other hand, what's the point of making the online mode for the 50,000 (EDIT: or less. sorry I had to do it ;) ) people that bought the PC game?

1) Sports games sell better on consoles.

2) The best console online service is LIVE.

Add 1 and 2 together and you got your answer..
