hiya.. im from canberra,.. and have owned pes.. now own pes2...
my nephew has we6fe.. just got it last week... its heaps better than pes2.. infact.. its turned me off pes2.. i dont play it anymore... and thats after only 1 hour of we6fe..
anyways.. im going to get my machine chipped so i can play we6fe.. and the patches that exist...

where are you getting your modchip from? is it the messiah? and for how much?
do you know anyone who installs them locally?

hiya...yeah im on the case.. ive so far tracked down(without confirmation) 2 local chip seller/installers for ps2... and when i say chip i initially was refering to messiah.. but with a little research from some internet and sydney distributers i get the impression that the magic3.1 chip is the way to go.. its more of a newer generation chip that like the messiah allows the direct booting of all cds and dvds, backups or import originals .. only thing to know is that apparenly you have to do a weird reset trick to play dvd movies and psx games.. but who cares.. i only want it for the jap games.. ie. WE6fe... and the patches available..

um.. so far there is a guy who can sell and install with 12 month warranty for $230 which is a great price... but he's from brisbane.. but says he'll find someone from canberra who can do it for me.. he told me he'll let me know for sure on sunday night or monday...

um.. and some other guys game me details of this local guy who used to install and sell chips.. ill give him a call..
and when i find everything out.. ie. best deal etc... ill let you know..
just give us an email and ill keep in touch... i guess this applies to all canberran people.... id like to help since about a week ago i felt same as you... didnt have a clue who'd do it for me...
soon ill find out though... thanks to all those who helped...

My heart goes out to those families who lost their love ones and their homes. And a speedy recovery to those injured. And a big hoorah to those firefighters who are risking their lives fighting these horendous fires.
