PES08 Graphical Problem...

hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone can help me with a problem i'm having...

basically, i keep on getting these little graphical glitches coming up on one specific pitch of one specific stadium that seems to make my game/computer crash. It starts off that these little squares come up on the pitch that flicker constantly, then eventually most of the time it'll just crash my computer completely - with hazy multi-coloured lines coming up. I've tried different graphics settings and all things i can think of.

I originally thought that it may be something to do with my gfx overheating, but the fact that i can play the game all day without the problem (until i get to this one stadium) seems to make it kind of unlikely.

My system is:
Intel Core 2 Duo
2gb DDR2 RAM
ATI Radeon x1950 Pro - with latest Catalyst Drivers

Any help would be really appreciated

hmmm...have u installed a kit/stadium patch or something ?

You can also try turning off/on VSync, there have been some flickering issues in the game....i havent actualy played it though :$

the only patch i've got installed is "PES 2008 Remake v0.7beta" as far as i can remember, definately haven't installed any new stadiums myself.

no luck with the vsync options :(

also, just noticed that in both matches i'm having the problem with in Master League are against River Plate (who are at Home).

Well, that patch has new textures for each stadium so i think there are still issues with those textures with ur gfx drivers...

Try playing the game after uninstalling the patch in the same stadium...if it works then there is an issue with the patch (its a beta afterall)...report it to the patch makers if u can.

If it still does the flickering after the patch uninstall, then it might be a heating issue with the gfx card, corrupt game data

You can also make urself not to play in that stadium if nothing works :(

Wahey, i reinstalled the game without patch and it appears to have fixed the problem :D (don't know why i didn't think of that lol)

No worries mate...I would suggest you download the latest version of Kitserver and a kit pack, stadium pack and a ball pack... by doing so, you will enter footie nirvana :junior:

I dont have much experience with full patches...I just download kitserver, latest kits, stadiums,balls and m done...and a sound patch if possible. Its a different game altogether after that. Its much easier to change anything imo.

Any other members might be able to help regarding wats the best patch for PES 2008 :)

i suppose i'll have to invest some time in sorting it all out. Getting everything individually has always been far too much hassle for me.

Its not as hard as you think mate...install kitserver and download a gdb folder for it...serach on google "kitserver gdb download"...you can also search on SG for it :D

Its just a folder copy :$
