good argument man, sometimes you do want those things etc., but then why argue that FIFA has better gamplay? Why not, like some other forumers, say FIFA is the worst of the two by a country mile, but I like to play nonetheless.

you know.. sometimes maybe i WANT TO play only for an hour rather than wasting a week of my time replacing "Eddington" with "Roberto Laclos" or "Baroja" with "Radolno". i want to play as Real in fcuking Bernabeu and not (of all places) Nou Camp. i want Ronaldo and Zidane to pull nice little tricks (as they do quite frequently in real life) other than the lame PES choice between shimmy and flic-flac. i want Real to trash Alaves 5-0 as they did the other day without wondering why real life losers like Shearer, Anelka or Simone play godlike footy on level 5 in PES when in reality they so suck. i want a referee on the pitch. and linesmen. a referee, i might add, who doesn't yellow card every fcuking foul. i want authentic banners. not that "bellissimo calcio" crap. i don't want to bother tactics and set ups and "building up my game", because i have fcuking Zidane, Carlos, Raul, Solari, Figo and Ronaldo doing it for me. i want Ronaldo to celebrate his goals with his trademark index finger and not by doing childish flip-flops. i don't want Ronaldo to score headers (which he does all the time in PES), because he doesn't do that in real life. i want to be able to manually rewatch close situations rather than the computer picking scenes which it deems worthy (and which are usually not). i want to immerse in the visuals and relax and enjoy my Alaves trashing rather than fighting yet another endless 10 minutes just to keep my 1-0 against a loser team like leeds united (sorry to all leeds fans.. could have been any) just to collect dorky points to buy a Raul who in the end is not worth the money, playing next against Dortmund in Munich stadium, in which a player named "Kollar" plays like he was the best forward of all times besids shooting one free-kick after another (juuuuust like in reality)...

Exactly, I have a gripe too.
I sometimes wan't to play a hideous misrepresentation of football, I want every f#cking player to play exactly the same way, I want Sunderland to beat Juventus 7-3, I want to be able to score from exactly the same position every time, I want the players to look robotic, I don't want passing or strategy to have any bearing on the score, I want the gameplay to be terribly scripted, I want the jerky animations and miserable framerates, I want incorrect rosters, missing players and players that look nothing like their real-life counterparts, I want them not to play like them either, I want the lights of the stadium reflecting brightly off of every players face, I love pinpoint 60 meter passing, 550mPh shots, incredibly inhuman goalkeepers, I love playing with no.9 from The Netherlands, I want every fecking team in the whole fecking world to use the same tactics, I love the appaling AI on offense and defense, I love button mashing to sprint, I love that Jaap Stam can dribble past 4 players, I love sliding in from behind taking out a guy for 6 months with no yellow or red, I want players to wonder aimlessly around the pitch never looking at the ball, their man or anything else for that matter, I want to play the fecking seria A and score 220 goals in a season, I want the top scorer to have 51 goals, I want the crowd to chant for a team that's not playing, I want the ball to suddenly catch on fire and make Star Wars noises, I want every player to look the same, I love it when Prosinecki has jet black hair in every version or Viduka has dreadlocks, I want sweetspots that guarantee yet another scripted goal, I want incredible backflips and drammatic celebrations when you score in the 89th minute while losing 6-0, I want the shooting bar to be good for nothing, I want the airplay system to be a cheap gimmick with no real use, I love demonic expressions on players, I don't want to play a real game of football, I hate realistic scorelines and midfield battles, I hate having to work for a goal, I hate having to keep possesion to win, I don't want Manchester United to play a different style than Boca Juniors, I love it when you get that feeling of utter disbelief and despair when trying to figure out WHAT THE F#CK ARE THESE PROGRAMMERS THINKING !!???...I could go on and on and on..

In the end, I want to be frustrated out of my mind at the stupidity of the embarrasment they call a game infront of me.

Yeah, Fifa rocks ! The AI is so clever, the players act just like in real life, the keepers are not like hockey goalies that get instantly almost to every shot, the defenders don't just watch the midfielders go by to the goal like in WE ! The forwards don't score just in one-on-one situations against the keepers like in WE ! This game rules !! :-puke:

I didn't say that Fifa or PES suck. More to the point Fifa is FUN to play, and this version adds to that better AI, shooting etc....

Previous Fifa versions, have not always delivered, and have given a scripted feel....WC 2002 made some improvements, and you could turn off the Star Wars flames.

Just get pissed off with the "Holy'er than though" attitude from the PES fan boys.

Play your game, enjoy all its nuances, but nothing comes close to playing REAL football.

Sorry for "interfering" between you two but I think he comes to this forum because a forum is a place where we place our opinions, I guess......
And we ( at least I ) really want a nice, enjoyable FIFA game, that´s the main reason of the complaints..

It's not an opinion, sadly, it's the consensus of a large number of us. It's all painfully true though...and more.

So what you're saying is this forum is only for those happy campers that agree FIFA is the best game and voices of discontent should be muffled?

For the hundreth time, a discussion forum is for opinions, good and bad, mine are mostly bad.

ps. I forgot to mention in my big post that every player has legs that would make Arnie proud, shoulders at wrong angles and upper arms of a fully kitted gridiron player. lol
