Typical shallow reasoning from a FIFA fan.

And how can u question the graphics in PES - the animation is incredible. The face likenesses and stand still graphics are very good, perhaps a bit behind FIFA, but the animation is far more important when playing the game. I shouldn't have to explain why

YOU ARE ALL STUPID i work in the gaming industry and you what you dont realise is that game companys pay these reviewers to post good things about the game. I KNOW cause ive seen it, they do it all the time. ALSO most of these reviews prefer a game so tend to write better stuff for the game they prefer. ITS ALL A HOAX , youll find out once you develop a BRAIN

Don't give me that conspiracy nonsense - so Konami have paid off every reviewer in the world have they? Even though EA obviously can outmuscle them financially (case in point, the licenses)?

It's a weak argument and you know it. I have a brain, as do you. I suggest you use yours though.

what do you know i work in gaming im a journalist writing articles REVIEWS !!!!!!!!. I SHOULD KNOW also dont act thick cause they paid off every reviewer im saying they offer money to big companies like the playstation 2 official magazine so everyone is happy journalists get there pay the magazine gets the ratings, and the game gets the sales.

but it s not exactly working pes though

1. If you work as a professional writer, why is your grammar so piss poor?

2. You still haven't answered my point: Every review of this game says it is the best football game ever. I'm not denying that a little bit of bribery must go on - such is life. However you can't tell me that this is responsible for all the accolades heaped on the game or the claims from journalists that they play it in their lunch break.

You obviously have no idea of logistics otherwise you'd realise that EA would win that war because they have more financial clout. Or perhaps Konami were quicker than them in bribing every reviewer on the planet?

Your reasoning is weak and smacks of self-delusional desperation

I have played all the WE games and have the latest one. I like the game and it is enjoyable to play, but really at the end of the day everyone has their own preferences. WE has it's good points and also has it's downside, havind played the Fifa 2004 demo for about an hour, I must say that I do like the game, it feels better than 2003, and the graphics looked good in my opinion.

I really wish people would stop banging on about how one games better than the other and the whole concept of being a fanboy is laughable!!!

Surely everyone should want Fifa to be fantastic, as when it comes down to it the gamers enjoyment should be the no 1 thing. I am really looking forward to tommorow to play a full game of Fifa on the ps2 and I am looking forward to the new features, in honest WE has improved small things since WE5, but nothing major, ok you now have 4 master leagues ect, but the whole idea of the career mode in Fifa sounds fantastic and adds to the overall package, also the full licensing does add to it, I know that WE has patches that improve the game, but I am starting to get bored of it allready and I have only had is since August, usually I never get bored of the WE games, maybe just maybe it's time to give Fifa a chance!!!

The master league is great (transfers, wages, cups etc etc) but the real reason to buy the new game is the updated gameplay, which is more like footie than ever. A career mode would be cool, as would a license for everything football related on the planet, but these things still aren’t as important as actually PLAYING FOOTBALL, which is where again PES comes up trumps. And I was simply pointing out the overwhelming support for this in computer journalism.
It doesn’t actually matter at the end of the day, of course not. I post because of the arguments posted as to why PES is crap. They are invariably shallow and crass, and this goads me into arguing. Immature, yes, but it doesn’t mean what I’m saying isn’t right. I sincerely hope that every FIFA fan gets maximum enjoyment out of their new game. Why shouldn’t I? It doesn’t mean that I don’t think it’s a shame that if they would just put some effort in (it can often take Pro Evo newbies a week or so before they first score) they would enjoy a far deeper game.

Notice I haven't actually bad mouthed FIFA 2004. I haven’t played it, and would be happy to give it a chance. I do put a certain amount of emphasis on what the reviewers say, but I always check a lot of different ones, because as FIFA Fan 2004 says, there is a certain amount of bias and imperfection in certain reviewers. And like I said before, check out any review of PES3 anywhere – be it in a magazine or online. And then check out what they say about FIFA. I’m sure 2004 is an entertaining game. I’m also sure it probably is nowhere near as good.

LOL. Maybe he is a foreign journalist. English is his second language. ;)
KONAMI offered those reviewers more money than EA? Wow. They don't even spend money on advertising and yet they can afford to slip a few pounds to those games reviewers.

Yeah it's impressive how Konami have duped us all into thinking this was a great game. Now when I have a multiplayer series against my mate tonight (when he finishes work at the pub) I'll know that this amazing representation of football on my screen only appears that way due to me believing all those reviewers in Konami's pocket:)

Anyway that guy clearly was lying about being a journo, although to be honest some computer games magazines do feature pretty lame grammar sometimes...although not as bad as FIFA Fan's incomprehensible sentences with not a an apostrophe in sight!

Well they say a million monkies sat at a million typewriters would eventually write War and Peace. That might explain this guy's claim that he's a journalist ;)

Heres a conspiracy, i think all fifa2004 fans could possibly be monkeys. It is more believable than the claim that this guy is a journalist, although maybe this anonymous magazine pay him in bananas. :bob:
