PES3 (PC) on TV

I've got a Radeon 9600xt which has a TV Out.
When I run PES3 on my TV I have a slight problem...

If I turn V-Sync off, game runs at correct speed, but everything seems 'jerky/tearing'.
If I turn V-Sync on, then the game runs much slower.

A TV is 50hz, so is this the problem ?
Any suggestion ?
Anyone has PES3 running fine on TV ?

Under your display settings, go to advanced and then choose the tv output mode. If it is outputting a PAL signal it will cause the game to appear jerky.

Oops sorry pressed return before i wass finished. If you can change the output to NTSC and your tv will support that display mode it should work no problems. 50hz or 100hz wont make a difference really just get it to output ntsc which refreshes anbout 17.5% quicker than pal and keep v sync on or you will get a tearing effect.

I was having the same problem, and never thought that that could be the problem. And now that I think about it, it seems pretty obvious. So, if I could output in PAL 60, the game would also run properly, right? Anyway of outputing in PAL 60? The options I have are PAL B, PAL G, PAL H, etc... are any of these PAL 60? Thanks! ;)

It seems that the TV I'm using can't handle NTSC.
I get thegame running at proper speed but in Black & White :(

Oh well.

The B&W isn't a sign you TV can't handle NTSC. If it couldn't, you'd see a messed up picture or not one at all. The B&W is something else - you just need to play with the settings on your TV. It's probably a AV setting or something you need to change. Same thing has happened to me before.

I thought the NTSC thing did make it go black & white - my brother has played Region 1 DVDs on his region 2 PS2, and they come out in black & white but with a clear picture. But then again, I'm no :jambo:

i'm not too sure either.
I think it might depend on how old/new the TV is, as in newer models may support NTSC ?

In my experience, TV's that can't handle NTSC either display no picture, or the image goes all ghosty. It may also go B&W, but not without some other imperfection i don't think - if the picture is perfect apart from it being B&W, i would be more inclined to say it was a video setting that needs changing.

Newer model TV's will ALL support NTSC, unless they are some really dodgy make. How old is your TV and what's the make & model? That might offer some clue.
