PES3 SUPER REAL, but a few Q's re analog controls

I have never played this game before yesterday, and I must say it is very addictive. Because I am so used to playing FIFA, it has taken a little while to get used to the controls. I am using a Logitech Wingman Rumblepad, and would like to ask some experts some questions. The main one is whether the game implements 360 degree movement and passing via the analog controls. Forgive my ignorance, but is it normal for the passes, lobs etc to automatically go to nearest/closest teammate. I guess i am used to the fifa controls where the thru pass goes exactly the angle you are pushing the analog, which result in many stray passes. Is this the same for PES, or are the passes and lobs more automatically targeted towards your temamates. Also does the accuracy of the shot depend on which angle you are pushing the analog??? Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Yes you need to aim your passes and through balls. Also, the shooting system is entirely free so the angle definitely affects it. If you do a lob on the side of the box the player will automatically cross it, but this still needs to be directed to an extent if you want to find the player in the best position.

I was playing at 1star last night for a bit of ingame training, you can cross the ball in using the lob button and analog stick , but if you hold L1 and hit the lob button it will auto cross for you.

Holding L1 does an early cross, so it will send the ball towards the box wherever you are. It's a bit more immediate as well, and I think you're right about not needing to aim it. Deciding which one to use comes from experience
