It is obvious that FIFA 2004 is pretending PES series. EA made the game much slower, and tried to make the game more realistic.

I agree that FIFA 2004 is more realistic now.

However, it is still years behind PES 3. And games in FIFA 2004 is still fake. Hundred of licensed teams with real kits all play in the same way............

Fifa 2004 is alot better and alot more realistic, but hey watch out, the fanboys will come out of the closet and flame ya :crazyboy:

OMG even dumb people can tell you PES is better than fifa 2004. Let me ask you somethin. How old are you? Do you even watch soccer or even play it. PES plays great if you compare it to a real match. FIFA feels awful with unrealistic passing, shooting, keepers...I can go on and on. FIFA 2004 is not complete, why pay EA money if they havn't completed their product?

This is a fact, ISS2 plays better than fifa 2004 :D

About FIFA 2004...
It's a really good football simulation, but there is a plenty of room for improvments. Well, yeah, it has been improved a lot, but, some elements "on the pitch" are still a bit too automated, for example let's take lob passes - a player curls it by himself...
It's a good thing that FIFA has a lot better ball physics, and it's pritty hard to control it, and Off the ball control is a really good innovation, but I still have an good old feeling like i'm playing another of EA's experimetns 'cause it's still not perfectly polished... But, this FIFA is better than PES 2. I don't know how's the situation with PES 3, 'cause I'm waiting for it for PC, and I really don't want to play it on a PS 2 console 'cause I hate consoles(H)

Cheers

I still play ISS from 1999 even though i wasted my money on FIFA 2004, which let me see... is 4 years newer considering that FIFA 2004 is released in 2003.

I've always played FIFA, since 97, but I think PES3 is WAY WAY better then FIFA 2004.

FIFA 98 was the greatest FIFA ever, after that it went worse and worse...

It just doesn't feel right anymore...

PES 3 fans flame you for a reason. I'm playing FIFA 2004 and I've managed to get Robbie Keane to 56 goals in a single season just with 6 minute halves. The 'keeper AI could use some work, it's too good against close range smashes and it's too bad against certain positions from long range. I have yet to score from behind the halfway line, but I regularly score from what would be 40 yards. Dribbling past defenders is definately too hard even on semi-pro, and all the players seem to have the pace of Michael Owen. If there is a gameplay patch which fixes these things I've missed out there then I apologise.
