PES4 First impression thread

Just got my PES4 today. 50hz makes the game seems faster. 60hz is like WE8. English Premier League teams updated. (WBA, Palace....)However not all transfers are in there. (Not much of a concern since option files and patch will be avaialble) Gameplay-wise not much different. Maybe a slight difference in the feeling. (not much, around 0.5%) The command lists don't tell much thing. Only the basic controls are in there. The flick(the one where u flick the right analog down up) is abit different. Unlike in WE8, it's easier to do but on PES4 you have to flick it slightly. There's the things I notice so far. Will only sart on the masterleague when a decent option file or patch is released. Oh yeah, the commentary is even worst than in WE7IJ.

I think i'm gonna switch back to WE8. After a few games, the gameplay look at little bit random. The way you get dispossessed by the CPU is sh!t, I prefer much more WE8. Although the shooting system is better.
I'm thinking.. still trying to find out which one suits me better.

Anyway, PES are always crappier than WE, plus J-League is gonna be released soon, so why bother

I wanna try PES4 but I always knew that WE games are much more better than PES ones and when you tell that to a UK fan you`re dead.

Yea, I was thinkin the same shlt...

The game just doesn't have this WE / japanese style feel to it... it's JUST another PES...

I'll prolly play it instead of WE8 coz of no slowdowns but once J-League is out i'm GOING BACK to the REAL game, which is WINNING ELEVEN.

**** PES, i just feel sorry for all who will be stuck with it and never get a chance to taste the real shlt.

jumbo, when's FK2 released? any idea? i'm kinda interested to see what gameplay improvements they come up with

okay Jumbo, but alot of people at Evo-Web have stated that for the first time they feel PES has the edge over WE. I suppose everyone's got their own opinion about that.

If the gameplay is largely the same as WE8, then PES 4 (with no or little slowdown) definitely gets the edge.

If, for whatever reason, PES 4 doesn't have the WE8/Jap "feeling," as Jumbo and others have noticed, then it's a different story.

I eager to compare both and hoping PES4 comes close enough.

My first WE/PES game was Pro Evolution Soccer. Back then, I hadn't even heard about WE. Winning Eleven 8 was my first Winning Eleven game, so I relate more to PES than WE, and personally, I don't notice ANY differences between the games, except that PES has English language.

But to the ones who started playing Winning Eleven before Pro Evolution Soccer even existed, I understand that they like WE better.

there IS a difference between PES4 & WE8. Movements and sh!ts like that are the same, but not the feeling.

Man, for me, a WE w/o Kabira is not WE. The atmosphere around the game that he creates with his shlt is just too fantastic!!!

GOOOOOAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now, after playing more of PES4:

First, there are slowdowns during CK's. still a lot less than in WE but they're still here.

Second, some of the passing animations are ****in weird.

Lastly, like I said, the game just doesn't feel as it should (like WE8 for example).

Don't listen to them. PES4 is DEFINITELY worth buying if you have "only" got PES3.
