got my copy yesterday.. still have to play more to come to a final judgement...

topic: goalies.

overall they seem to be smarter this time yet one thing i noticed though was quite strange and i am wondering, whether anyone else has noticed: during a handful of matches i had a shot on goal which would miss it by just a tiny bit -- yet, the CPU goalie was just standing there, watching the ball instead of even making an effort at all... i mean, i've never seen that happen in any PES game, so it kind of flabbergasted me a bit... it happened about 4 times in different matches...

have you guys experienced that?

oh, and BTW, the slowdown is still there and its quite awful...

note to niceman in case he reads this: as long as you have nothing substantial to contribute to the above, please don't spoil another thread with one of your useless and insulting one liners, ok?

i noticed that in the demo , i scored with scoles and the goalie just watched it go it , i think its meant to be like that cuse when it happened to me his sight was blocked cause it was just after a corner , makes it more realistic i think

I had situation, it was a weak shot from outside of penalty area (~35 meters) and keeper just standing and watching how the bal rolls to the net. No any movement from him to save the goal.

I haven't played it but I've read quite a lot of posts complaining about the goalie-issue. Can't really comment on it since I haven't seen it, just hope it's not as bad as it sounds.

I think it makes far more realistic. In REAL football, goalies dont dive for every shot taken. ESPECIALLY, if he thinks he has no chance of saving it. It would be kind of dumb if the goalie was pretty far and dove for a ball he had no chance in hell of saving.

I was playin against blackburn and Brad Freakin Friedel was saving EVERYTHING. God I wanted to murder that little punk.

Hm never noticed such thing... the thing that bugs me is the player not always responding to the press of a button.

About the goalie just standing there: It happens in real life, thrust me. It happened in my real life match last wednesday. I got some space to pull of a shot and I curled it into the far top corner. All the keeper did was just stand there and watch it go in.

Btw... The goalies in PES(3) is so realistic and they are doing good in the big goal.

Not like in fifa where the bitch goalies in the small goals are hoes...
