PES4 wishlist

was kinda frustrated with my PES3 crashing all the time now (been patching it way too much) so decided to come up with my wishlist.

Stuff that would take a lot of work ----

- improve gameplay
- more licenses
- super improved graphics which include --
--- more animations
--- get rid of clipping
--- fix shadows
--- more pitch textures
--- improved poly counts in all areas
--- higher res textures in all areas
--- tighten player hitboxes
--- etc, etc, etc.
- better English commentators
- get rid of loading between menu screens (minor quibble)
- allow us to play all our saved replays sequentially (i know this would take a while to load up the graphics if they featured lots of different teams). Maybe if some of the replays always featured the same two teams, allow us to watch it sequentially.
- and definitely... ONLINE PLAY.

Easy stuff to add ----

- add 3rd alternate uniform option, and maybe even 4th (classic ones). Especially since we have such awesome kit makers
- add more slots for creatable teams. This is best if KONAMI is unable to secure more licenses. 64 teams covers most of the best but KONAMI could allow us to create even more comprehensive coverage of leagues
- add more slots for selectable boots (say 20!) which would be more than enough to cover all brands.
- better transfer mode. Right now the system is a bit complicated with having to edit the EXE and then the option file. Have it so we can do everything via the option file editing (i.e. add Free pools, etc internally)
- more more more options, editability, customizability

Instead of having teams like West Ham Konami should put the best 8 teams from the best leagues. For example so far it would be:
Arsenal
Man United
Chelsea
Liverpool
Newcastle
Charlton
A Villa
Fulham

I know the EPL has more teams in the game. But this is just an example of what teams should be in PES4

all things u guys asked FOR plus

uefa licenses (so no wefa but uefa etc. and adboards and in the entarnce scene where we get the normal formation there should be uefa logos , this could be as an option normal exhibiton or uefa exhibition)
and about 200 free slots to create new teams.
And of course at least 200 club teams so we can have a comlete league.
Also a ball selection in the game settings whcih will include at least 3 balls and 10 free slots.
At least 8 new stadiums and stadium editor and 30 free slots for new stadiums.
More chants for the teams
More faces
New weather effects like more heavy rain and snow.
For the kits : Home,away and home away gk, plus CL kits and 3rd kits. (Maybe too demanding but it will be great)
Imporve the transfer system. I mean there should be pes money that we will make transfers and not change a player with another.
And of course very uptaded rosters and not last years one.
That's a very optional thing but u may put more than one net styles and colors.

Also an editor would be very nice. like fifa creation center.

P.S See just the idea of creation center don't make what they made u will ruin the game.

Better commentators? The problems lie with the scripts. They say they got an English guy to write them in PES3. That's possibly just a load of balls.

i think it will olso be good if you can choose in the edit menu that the players shirt hang out en really moves when he runs fast (like the hair) and also after 20 min orso that the players get dirty like in (fifa 2004 YEAH I KNWO IT SUCKS )then it's even more realistic and a lot more boot slots and ofcourz al the new stuff like kofman and nick said

I don't much care about licences, and I guess a lot of nice details could be added for the gameplay, which is already near perfect.

But what I really hate in PES 3 and MUST be mended is the commentary. It's really boring, that should be fixed.

- referee must come in and runnning on the pitch

- more tricks for stars (for now we know just about Del Piero, Zenden and Okocha - too little)

- possibility to bend a ball in game, not only in set pieces - this is important!

- possibility to choose one of 3 or more balls before match

- 12 types of boots available in Edit Mode

- 3rd kits would be nice

- more various goal celebrations! and possilility to assign concrete type of moves in Edit Mode (just see WWF on PSX)

- better and various crowd chants

A better camera angle where we can see more of the pitch. Do you think the players/pitch size ratio is correct?

- more small stadiums, if i play brescia i dont want to play in real madrid stadium.
- not only big teams, also add small teams. That gives a more realistic feel in leagues.
- more directions in movement.
- more excitement from commentary and crowd when a goal is scored

I would like the old international Superstar soccer challenge mode that was included on the snes, where u are set the challenge of pulling brazil back from a 3-1 goal difference in the last 10 mins etc.

Decent commentary, Better Graphics, better crowd sounds, refs on the pitch, lines men down the sides, new offside rule implemented, ability to change the ref strictness, better weather effects that affect the ball and players, a substition cut scene, a 4th official who holds the injury time board and substitute boards up, better crowd graphics, loads more animations.

Instead of dodgy names like minanda i would prefer the names to have a spelling error like owenn, Heskie etc.

about celebrations - i was pretty amazed to see robbie keane's trademark celebration in the game for the most part they are pretty good.

i like the uniforms getting dirty suggestion ala fifa 2k4

most of the stuff i put is for the patchers and kitmakers... konami doesn't have to implement it directly themselves, just leave the option open. I mean it still is, without a doubt, the most editable game around.

oh yeah, they should add the option of glove to a player's appearance, i know henry wears gloves.

and for that matter, allow us to set home and away boots... like henry wears red with the home colors and blue with the away kit.

maybe put refs on the pitch again...

allow users to specify custom colors for changable boots.

they definitely need to revamp the transfer system in game.... i don't like waiting around for the latest patch just so i'll have good exe/option combo that won't f*** up. Tie it solely with the option file and have realistic transfer that don't mandate that teams swap players.

what about players retaliating to bad tackles? not all the time,maybe as often as the head injury thin....they could get up from a bad tackle and have a nose to nose confrontation followed by a head butt...followed by a red card of course...i think that would be cool as long as it didnt happen too often

- Pickin` a spot on the ball to kick just like in FIFA, but keep the others in doin` free kicks the same like in previous years.

- Club`s tournament competition like ECL ( not Konami Cup, since the format is kinda different )

- More South American teams.
- Ability to create teams ( maybe up to 40 teams ).

Better lighting, the player models and textures are good enough, probably even better than FIFA's, but they look like crap with that lighting, take a look at Euro 2004's lighting, if Konami added that type of lighting to PES it would look absolutely f_cking orgasmic.

You won't get that this is a European based game and seeing Boca or Sao Paulo in the Champions League wouldnt fit with the game so there should be a create team option. I also would like to see a good TV like scoreboard,ditch the flags top screen and swapping around each half,just for example Man Utd 0-1 Spurs. More skills in the game like kick ups,heel flick etc...also curling the ball on normal shots instead of just straight arrows all the time.

As good as PES3's gameplay is, it also boast quite a few flaws I think, there's still a lot that can be improved (though it is the closes to perfect gameplay in a footie game out there!).

The tackling defenitely needs working on, half of the fouls given (against me) are very odd "fouls" as I clearly play the ball.

You team mates needs to be smarter and not head the ball back across their own goal when you clearly want them to head the ball out of the area, this happens quite a bit. The CPU AI is a lot smarter though that could also do with some work.

Less header challenges. Most of the time when a player crosses the ball the defender will not bother going up for the header but wait till the striker brings down the ball and then go for the tackle (unless its close to the oppositions goal, of course).

The ability to walk and not always have to run. You often see this in real matches, to calm everything right down the player will just walk with the ball a bit to give time for everyone to get into position or something like that.

Even good strikers run offside far too much, sometimes their offside by miles...for no reason. So players defenitely need to run back from offside quicker as well as being generally more aware of what's going on around them.

Licesnses, need I say more?!

A lot more animations and more cutscenes for subs.

Replays need to be longer and the ability to watch a replay even if the ball has gone out for a corner or a foul has been committed. Also the ability to watch the "redered" replay over again.

i hope konami will work on the camera positions during play (more angles and ability to adjust zoom and height) .. also the quick replay needs an improve (not always the same angle, but different angles depending on the situation)... a bigger replay buffer, so we can also see how the attack was created... the ability to fix the camera position at any point (not only at players or ball) .. and that we can see our saved replays in more different camera positions (like the ones in "highlights" after match) .. and more free slots to save replays!

this is what i am hoping for in the category camera-positions and replays

well I don't think that's the major "must_be" feature
licenses (rosters, kits) are very easy (even if time-consuming) to correct by yourself or someone who likes it and will relase to others
I think that more important thing would be making this stuff you cannpot edit in game or using Photoshop and few editors, like referees, bending ball or new moves and animations
if Konami would have to spend big cash just for licences I'd like them to spend it for better game coding, adding some new features which cause you want play PES even if you had to play with Zadine or Radolno
EA spend so much $$$ on licences and as we could see in this year for nothing else, even maybe they fired some good programmers ("sorry, we want more licences in this year and we won't have enough money to you - goodbye" ) ofcoz it's joke now but I really wish they fix some gameplay bugs than adding this Nike or Puma logos on shirts
