PES5 Full PC Version v's Demo

Is it just my imagination or is there a huge gulf between the No SOund Demo and the Full Version. I thought the Demo was absolutely spot on and just the right pace. The AI passed the ball around alot and the pace was quite slow (realistic). However upon playing the full version...it is just attack, attack and attack from the AI. Everything seems very fast amd rushed. No build up just quick long passes. Is there any way to make the game like the demo because I really do not like the full version. I know Sepakbola made some great patches for PES4 and was working on a patch but not sure if it addresses these issues.

think i saw a post about it earlier, where the poster corrected some values in the option file with pesfan editor (global edit) think some of the values were response - short passing speed + short passing accuracy and some others...

too bad i cant find that post cause i would like to try the changes myself..

Yes the Demo (no_sound) was spectacular. The pace was realistically slow, and building up an attack was pure fun. The players handled the ball much better, and goal-scoring was far less frustrating.

They messed up the final release, no one argueing with that.

A member on the forum called SPEKABOLA was attempting to change the gameplay values... but then he disappeared and the patch was unheard of. Perhaps changing the values made the game crash... maybe.

Anyway, I hope WE9:I is closer to the demo play, even though the reviews so far don't mention that. They even said the Match Fatigue is overdone.... as if Konami wasn't satisfied with the already-dead players in PES5.

Waiting for Pes6, then.

all depending from the hardware of yuor pc!!! It's a direct not optimized porting from PS2 e some pc and cpu/gpu have many problem to play correctly in some stadiums if pc is not optimized, in my pc PES run perfectly, but in many you can have problems... WE9 for pc will be sure more optimized and more fine than PES5 pc and it will run better also in no good pc...

I'm talking about all your problems: ALL DEPEND FROM HARDWARE!!!!!!
the gameplay and general feel it's differents in differents pc configuration (CPU/GPU, gpu drivers ......) I tested it for long time in differents pc and now only with an ATHLON AMD64 3500+ and a geforce 6800ultra 256mb and 1gb DDRam, i've the right good general feel and gameplay
IT's a PS2 porting not optimized for pc and it works as an emulator not optimized, and it use many more resources than a game if it was made directly for PC...
In some pc,also if you use the LOD MIXER you could seen a different gameplay feel:ewan:
WE9 (PC version) it will be surely better optimized and also in your pc you could see a different general gameplay feel....
PS:the demo was released only in two lights stadiums and less the commentary (and with very less files that CPU and GPU used) so the feel and gameplay in some pc could be better than in Full game....
(excuse me for my very bad english!! :$ )

That was one great piece of advice... but how? He says go to "player edit" and up each player... this can't possibly be how he meant it.

He said he edited each player. The PES Fan editor does this easily.

will give it a try.

If only someone could check out the values in the demo_no_sound and compare them to the ones in the full version....

I've been working on this for quite sometime - there are some things (blockades more like it) that have stinted my progress.

1. CPU attacking style - Not as linear before with my adjustments, but defenisively on the higher levels (*4-*6) they OVER-pressure; which makes it way too easy to pass bye.

2. Finding a good median for Keeper skills and response - at default they save too much but can't save much from far out; with some of my adjustments I notice the keeper make last minute decisions - but is still a bit slow to the ball.

---So that's about it so far, I'm still testing here and there. I've managed to fix, once again, the ML/League simmed scores (CPU games) to be above 1-1,2-0,1-0 ; now I see 3-4,4-3,5-4,4-0,5-0 even 8-0 once.

If anyone wants to beta test the option file is based off of PESfan's old one. I could provide the values I've changed if anyone is interested. Might be a bit hard to find my notes though.

So you only edited the option file? Could you make the file available please?

Yes, only the option file is what needs tweaking. The gameplay is hardcoded into the game's engine and can't be broken. I edited the option file of last year also and it worked pretty well.

From what I've seen, editing the option file does make a difference. However it still doesn't address the issue that Ridge mentioned. The CPU doesn't pass the ball back. It's a constant forward, forward, forward attack with no build up or patience from the cpu.

It's too bad there isn't an option to increase pass frequency. Perhaps this would make the game play more like the demo.

I wonder if Konami will listen to all the feedback and make WE9I play like the demo. Wishful thinking? Probably. :nape:

probably not ...

from what i hear , they are even making it worse , making it more "arcade"

but , they are only listening to the whiners. pes5 got alot of negative feedback.

In my many games of playing (with edited values) I have seen a much more realistic build up by the cpu. I have seen quick switches of the field and pass backs, sometimes too many; it's a nice sight - problem is sometimes I feel they are scared to try to score.

Would you mind sharing your op file with us? I'd like to give this a go myself.
