Pes5 is a joke online

Seriously this game is so scripted it takes away the fun for me.
Everybody seems to enjoy defending with just holding X + []
Well i dont, i only tap X

But this sucks for me since the ******* cpu "cheats" now in favor of the opponent, because that guy is holding X +[] all the time which makes the cpu defend for him 80%. And in pes cpu=cheat.
My player are always slower to the ball, my player ignore my directions when i head, but always head in the opponents feet, my players dont sprint to the ball, when my players take the ball away it either bounces out or it bounces miracly to the opponents feet, my player alway turn towards the upcoming opponent ignoring my directions, my player are always weaker, falling down in battles, ref hardly whistles, crosses that go too the marked player, instead of the free one, my player dont jump when they can head the ball......and so on and so on....

seriously this sucks bigtime. I am almost forced to hold down X +[] all the time to compensate the "cheat" factor. But thats not my style, it sucks and is noobish and makes the game unrealistic.
I thought Konami wanted to make a simulation game, well this isnt simulation, this is bullcrap.
Ban the ******* holding down X button, let people defend themself, that is simulation.

p.s. before people say i should learn too play, i play this game since iss64 so i know what im talking about.

I like playing against ppl who old X & [] all the time, with the right movements it's easy to avoid incoming defenders and it leaves huge gaps in the opponents defense... look a LOT on the radar and with some good 1-2 passing or through balls I can get at least 4 or 5 break-outs with my striker alone for the GK during a game. I second that. Although pressing the square can help you a lot, you still need to know how (when and how much) to use it. And... if you feel like there's nothing you can do against a player who uses the square, I guess you're just a noob. No offence, but that's how it is.

plz read, I recognize this bullcrap cos I'm not using that method myself. And I often meet ppl who do, and yes, then the opponents CPU players are FREAKING ME OUT!!!111 but still, it can be tackled, and that makes me a happy man again after I win with 2-0

I agree with you tho that this is damn stupid, but what do you expect from the suckers from Konami... the word 'customer feedback' is not in their dictionary, so let's see what surprises they come up with in PES 6

Holding x? Didn't know you can do that. I use the square but I def. don't hold the x. More than the users of square button to defend I'm annoyed by the ****ers who just slide, slide and slide all the ******* time. Now that is REALLY ANNOYING the hell outta me. When I'm hosting these mofos put on 5 defs etc and just keep on sliding forward when I'm trying to attack.

M&Ms for once i agree...i have lost so many matches cause of defensive noobs placing 7 defenders in fron of penalty area...i have not played against anybody that i have felt was better than me...i have played around 200 matches 87-66-86 is the record...but i have lost at least 20 matches cause a noob got a corner or a lucky shot in...im very good at shooting outside area...but now this is harder and with 5 defenders trying to block its useless...my main weapon is gone...****i.ng crap...

Yes online games it pays off to rough the opponent and prevent counterattacks...i often try to injure Ronadinho and other great players i only get yellow but the opponent loses his best player...muaha

Well i dont know about you, but i could have sworn that using the square and X buttons together is how to really defend. If your isolated on the left wing, you would hold square to call for cover, which is realistic.

Thats how people i know have been playing WE since we heard of the serie's. I just think he's frustrated. I would say the same thing if i lose like that.

Playing the cpu is defensive enough as it is. But what i'm hearing people are even more defensive online. I'll stick to the cpu then!

Man, i dont know about you guys, but when i play winning eleven or PES, i always love the competition. It doesnt matter. If a team wants to attack me, or sit back and defend, i welcome all challengers. I want to make myself a better player, so to be the best you have to beat the best.

The problem is that in a 10 min game online its not about skills but also about the gameplay...it should be harder to defend and just press square and X and playing counterattack with Brazil...i mean Brazil does not play counterattack!

All he did was punt the ball to the left wing where Ronaldinho was hovering.

He beat me 2-0 so fair play to him, but makes me think I am going to have to go a team with a superstar and play everything through him.

I've been using square to defend since I've been playing PES on PS2, and it makes the game better cause there is more control over the play, in my opinion.

But in PES5 its not as easy to use because the computer controlled players will make fouls alot, so u have to use it alot more sparingly, which means its not so much of an advantge to use square all the time, as you guys make it out to be.

P.S. ISS 64, is nothing like pes so it dont count in the series were talking about

Why didn't u set a defender to man mark Ronaldinho on Aggressive? If that doesnt work, set 2 defenders to do it. Then sit back and see how he passes to Ronaldinho all da time.

i amnt taking my online games too seriously, just practising with milan now.

they look the best for my style I think.
i was them mostly when i played PES4 over at evo-league.com.
