PES5 vs PES6

PES6 is better than PES5. Gotta get a bit more used to the shooting but usually after 1-2 months at most it gets perfect.

can any of you guys, saying that pes6 is the best and you are good in this game, record a 10min play video ?

i would like to see how you're playing and your tactics.

Pes6 is better, but it has alot of flaws.the shooting inside the box can be better, the game should be faster(slightly). The ref could be more lenient,a mate of mine lost 5 playas n i lost 2 in a recent game n this was a 10mins game! Lol! Not even close an average rough premshp game.In pes5 you could choose 2 mix it up without worrying bout card happy refs.

My initial feeling on playing PES6 was that is was not as good as PES5. From past experience migrating between games I realised I needed to 'give it time' and sure enough it's getting better with every play.

The problem is that our brains are so used to playing in a certain way that when things change slightly, it feels very noticable and very uncomfortable. But as our brains re-programs itself things become more 'natural' and THEN you can start to enjoy things properly.

Pes 5 SEEMS more fluid / smoother... but pes 6 IS just as smooth - but you have to play it in a slightly different way to make the fluidity happen. If you try to play pes6 in the same way as pes5 then you will experience frustrations. It is a new game to master, and requires a slightly different style of play.

ps... one niggle for me, so far, is the keepers rushing out on their own.

also, id just add that, one key reason (for me) pes 6 seems un-fluid, is that the players often trap the ball when recieving passes. However if you hold R1 (run) when recieving passes the players do not trap the ball, which keeps things pinging about more!

Hi,

I am getting well frustrated with this game - I considered myself pretty good at Pes5 but since I have started playing pes6 I cant shoot for toffee none of my players seem to flow at all- it all seems very jerky and uncontrollable. I cant select my players either that easily - even when I have the cursor on manual.

The game feels much slower - and the shooting OMG what a joke I just seem to balloon it over the bar most times even when I only press the button for a micro second.

Any thoughts / comments / feedback before I throw this game out of the window as I am not enjoying it at all TBH.

Strange, I myself find Pes6 slightly EASIER than Pes5 (at least at level 3, I do not know about level 5, since I have not tried it yet)...well I suppose it is very individual and depends of your stile of playing and such.

The shooting is harder. I myself ballon the ball over the goal sometimes. But then suddenly I discovered that if I press R2 down while I am shooting, the shot will be lower and more precise!!! So try this!

If I am one and one with the goal Keeper, I normally press the shot (Square) button and suddenly after the cross button (0). Then my player makes a slight body feint and places the shot past the goalkeeper and most of the time I score (of course not always). If the keeper is coming out towards me I also sometimes try to make a lob pressing first Square (shot) and then suddenly after R1...and then he will perform a slight lob over the keeper. But it is now always very efficient. I prefer the other tecnic, Shot and (0)....

It's extremely difficult to score with a direct shot on one-on-one's. And it's also extremely annoying when you tap the shoot button and the player sends the ball to Mars from within the goalkeeper area.

Try this when you are one and one with the goolie:

Suddenly after you press the shot button (square), press O and you will make a slight shoot feint before kicking.

Or press R2 while you are shooting, and the shot will tend to be more precise...

PES 5 is the best footy game of all time.

I will always play it online until they make something better (Which PES 6 is not).

I don't play single player because the AI in all footy games is too stupid and predictable, but cheats. If someone made a clever AI that didn't need to cheat, then I might touch single player.

I'm glad the PES 5 community still has plenty of players, even if there's a lot of cheaters at the moment. Easy enough to block all of those though.

Anyone who says I need to learn how to play PES 6, understand that I was scoring an average of 5 goals and conceding 2 online, and this is why I stopped playing it. The scoring is an absolute joke, and takes no time to master. It is the most arcadey feeling PES game ever made.

PES 5 had the best shootin no doubt...dribblin was tough, had annoyin refs who called fouls every 10 sec (:/)...the ball felt a lot 'heavier'

PES 6 has good shootin but isnt the best....using R2 helps but PES 5 shootin was better no doubt....driblblin is really very simple and they improved the refs a bit by not callin fouls easily...the ball feels a lot lighter at the feet...sometimes kinda arcady but i think the balance is right and overall PES 6 is a bit better then PES 5 imo

I stop played in pes6 after a couples of days. PES6 – is a joke.
Well, I forgot to say the main argument of all loosers, pardon worshippers of pes6.
The argument - PES6 is definitely designed for the human play!
Same thing I heard when fifa99 was released.

I enjoy pes6 animations, especially new volleys (which were very scripted in pes5) and thanks god the automatic side step has gone. I think it is also a big step forward when u play 2vs2 on line, more controls over the players.

But as far as simulation goes, PES5 is superior, better defense better ball physics.

One thing is clear though: the 0_text, 0_sound, e_text and i_sound are 99% the same..........which says a lot about what kinda job konami is doing.

both are bad !

look at all the brilliant games with brilliant graphics etc.

PES will probably have the same graphics in 2035... (but they will change some little details each year and put back the ancient ones some years later...)

If EA hadn't an ultra bad gameplay, nobody will play PES...

exactly. thats why konami needs to get the FIFA license. the only reason why FIFA sells is because EA is an American company that is known for making madden. thats why i am one of the only few people in the states that even know about pro evo. (:/)
