I honestly have no idea if that's the issue but it's worth a shot. All I know is that the game runs fine on my computer (P4C800 mobo, ati x800 pro, 1.5gig RAM) without a crack. Doesn't it seem strange that KONAMI wouldn't have noticed the SECUROM system causing issues with the game before they released it? They do test these things, after all.
That being said, I boycott games with Securom protection as a rule (it should be banned and the pople who write it should be spanked with steaming jellyfish) but I can't boycott PES. So much for principles...

the crack worked fine for me!!! is it true that the no dvd crack prevents you getting online? I'm struggling to get online and im not sure if its the servers or the crack!
I have the ATI RADEON 9600 and my gameplay was slow until I tweaked the ATI card to:
Anti-aliasing: Let The Application Decide
Antistropic filtering: Let The Application Decide
Texture Preference: High Performance
Mipmap Detail Level: High Performance
Wait For Vertical Refresh: Always Off
Now I can play at a high resolution without any problems, before that I had to play at 800*600 medium. If it doesn't help, try RadLinker which forces your card to apply these settings. At the intro when the line which opens your option file is darker than usual, then you have succeeded. If not, your settings haven't been applied. Hope it helps to some of you.

my x800 pro works fine, im using the latest omega drivers, go and download them from here: http://www.omegadrivers.net/

just so u guys know i tested the game on my main rig with 2 7950 gx2's and my core 2 duo extreme and im not having any issues, if anything id expect there to be problems with my main rig because of quad sli, very weird

i have a p4 3.0mghz 1.5gb ddr2 and x1900xtx and at 1600x1200 it stutters sometimes but not all the time. But the way visuals flow tho it gives me a headache. I played it on 1920x1440 oh boy was it nice but my Viewsonic CRT didnt support that high it was ghosting really badly.
