more than likely they just took it off because of a scary/threatening email. All they need is to talk to a lawyer and i'm sure that option file will be back up. I don't see how the FA can actually keep someone from posting an option file for a PES game.
sounds like a make work project for a bored legal dept.

The argument is misappropriation of copyrighted image. It would be very simple for the EPL to prove lost revenue due to Pro Evo option files (EA pay licensing fees to the EPL, if the EPL isn't seen to be aggressive in protecting its' IP then EA will negotiate a cheap deal when they renew their license - simple really) and with a team of good lawyers you can prove pretty much anything. Small websites can't afford to get embroilled in such litigation, so it's simpler to remove offending materials.

That's not to mention the tossers who sold the PESFAN option file on eBay. That certainly wouldn't have helped matters.

Unfortunately I was in the middle of editing the EPL badges alongside dragonskin and a couple of other lads at PESFAN when all this crap started.

How can they say that it's illegal to edit our own games that we payed for, that's bull****.
Patches are another thing, but to tell us we can't edit our game however we want is just dumb. If this gets really serious then why is there even an option to edit the game? How will we know what we can and can't edit?

And also is this just for soccergaming or other sites also?
