Phoenix WE8I Season 05/06 update for The Wolf Veulta del Lobo Patch

Guys here are from all of the world. It's fitful for 'cooperation' in nature with 'time zone' help. One can have its own working hour, and one by one we can edit our part of the job.
We need:
1. Responsibility
We should make our part accurate and let Phoenix (or someone else) unnecessary to check it through too much.
2. Knowledge
We know how to use utilities to edit, we know the correct transferring information.
3. Management
The teams are dispatched and edited by line, and commited (through email, Phoenix can be the final stop) in an predefined order.

Maybe after a long time of grind, we can achieve a concrete team with high 'passing accuracy' and high 'teamwork'.

Anybody wanna try?

btw: what I miss is mainly 'knowledge'.

i'm sorry (just to Phoenix) if i seamed 'ungreatful' or full of it but it wasn't directed to u... or the patch it self...
it takes time and pacience to do this but some constructive critics don't harm anyone.. i think...

keep it up

Oh, no worries mate. I wasn't being sarcastic, I was really asking whether you would like to help. I'm hopeful someone would take over the editing of the option file, but if no one obliges, I will continue.

Anyway a really constructive way would be to state transfers that have not been included in the Update 1.2. Give also the link to the source of the news - it has to be confirmed 100% (player must have passed a medical too)

pubb, really appreciate your willingness to get some sort of a team going, but it really isn't possible to merge option files - one person working on the transfers is enough.

Btw, I forgot to thank you for your brilliant 0.82 FM2005 conversion. It's being used in the patch - I'm adding your name in the credits section in the first post.

what about this:

since very few ppl want to step forward and make things (me included) what about something like pubb sugested but Phoenix continues the job...
i explain

some group of ppl join and separate tasks... Of what misses in the patch one takes care of 2,3,4,... things, others other things... etc
not 20 ppl to update 20 teams...
what do u think Phoenix?

I really like this patch but can someone explain to me how i can create new players ?

Because i'm not going to complain here about missing players, for example Markus Rosenberg by Ajax, and wanna to create them by myself but i never done this before.

Thanx.

Needn't do 'merge' actually. It looks like a pipeline. One updates his teams and transfers the result to the next one. Then the next one does his job and go transferring to the next of the next...
In a world-wide forum, it is easier to do so. For example, Assuming A lives in Germany and usually do the updating at about 22 GMT (that's 23 in local time, right?). At 22 GMT, Aug. 5th, he edits his favorite German national team at the right time and one hour later, he finishes his part and emails the option file to B who lives in New York, USA. B can edit his favorite Brazil at 3 GMT, Aug. 6th (local time, 22:00, Aug. 5th) and then emails it to C in China. The single option file travels around the world while new updates get ready.
Am I clear?

in my opinion ppl shouldn't just make 1 squad and pass... if so it will take forever and if something is wrong only 1 person knows the info correctly...
work should be divided...

Glad to hear sb. be interested. It need a plan to avoid mess and repeated work before we gather to start. The following are what I think as an example plan:
The steps:
1. All cooperators be informed and works be dispatched among them;
2. We share one knowledge base, which provides necessary and accurate information. It can be a website or sth. else;
3. We agree with what to be edited and what not to. And in what principles.
4. We exchange email addresses and get sorted in a time-zone/working-time list;
5. We start the first round.
Phoenix holds the best position to be the start. He can make the principles. Maybe I can be an advisor.
We need documents that record everything we do. They are essential for the final checker and the successor.

Option file editing is a heavy physical work. I got no ways good enough to do it. Maybe my steps are helpful. I know it's not so good because I'm very tired when doing transfer for a few teams:
1. Document
I gathered the transferring information from Goal.com and arranged it in an Excel file, which is easy to sort and compare. (I upload it in the attachment, not an up-to-date one.)
2. Marked
Having sorted the Excel file (the 'doc' brieviated) in 'name' order, I checked all players involved in 'all players' list of EditPES4OptionFile to find which were missed and needed to be created. They were marked.
3. Out
Sorting the doc in 'team from' order, I transferred all players involved and existent out.
4. Create
I used 'unused players/created players' list in EditPES4OptionFile to created non-existent players, name, nation, height, weight and so on. They would be 'free players'.
5. In
Sorting the doc in 'team to' order, I went to the team I was interested at that time. I moved the players involved from 'free players' to team squad one by one, assigned the squad number, the correct one if I could know, or 99,98,97 if I couldn't. If the team squad was full, I moved some players out, who 1) was not in the official list, 2) nearly never appeared last season, 3) was younger.
6. Starting-line and Stragety
I did it if I knew. If I didn't know exactly, I just changed the absurd ones.
7. Save
'Save' for another time.

Hope we can get started next working night.

during the update on 0_text.afs, when i finish the "import files in full afs" it says

No file has been imported.
Checks the name and extension of the files.
Also it is possible that you have files blocked by modifying its reserved space.

Maybe you should compare your transfers list with that from
www.voetbaltransfers.com because in your list are missing a lot of players.

But it's a very good plan.

You're spot on pubb! Your plan is really good, plus you acknowledge the fact that it is really heavy physical work! But your plan has one little snag: player appearances need to be added to - and they are the biggest problem with the plan to create uncreated players! You see, editing the faces are really time consuming because you have to go through like thousands of combinations of hair/beards/moustaches etc., just to fit that player's appearance! It's ridiculous unless you already have a database to work on - for example, I could use FCH's Obsession Patch option file. Just doing a few transfers is already time-consuming; once you transfer a first team player out of a squad, you need to change the roster too as the option file editor automaticaly mixes up the roster. If you're gonna want to create new players, count me out of this. I can help by telling you how to create new players, pubb's plan above can tell you how to put them all in the game, but overall if you're looking at just creating players, it will take about 1 hour per 20 players. Looking at the number of players that need to be created, unless you're not working or studying, you'll need at least 2 months. I don't have that sort of time; I have major examinations coming up - all I wanted when I released the patch was to share the face and boot allocation that I've been doing for months now as a hobby, along with the updated adboards etc., plus converting FCH's PES4 patch to WE8I (I've tried directly patching it, it doesn't work well). I never promised created players or 100% accurate squads. Transfers were meant to be only for those players found in the game.

But if anyone wants to help in creating new players + updating the transfers in the option file, do let pubb know. pubb's plan is superb (manual transfer is the only way I can think of) but you'll need lots of time and effort. If you think you'd like to contribute do step forward and sign up, the world wide thing sounds not only cool, it's kind of like international cooperation, something we should all strive for. pubb, thanks for your initiative.

Check whether you have located the folder before you click 'OK'. The 'phoenixupdate' folder has to be bolded. Follow the instructions.txt regarding the reserved space issue.
