ML only works from database... doesnt use Option File...

Read my post in this thread and follow the steps and you can create a player whenever you want and import him into Master League. Also you can edit stats and they will change in Master League. Just edit everything, then make a new para_we8.bin and import it into 0_text.afs and you are all set.

What Option File are you using?
Did you try to create the player in a club, then assign him to the team in the transfers area?
Or there are plenty of option files you can download that have all of the created players in them....I use The Wolf's Vuelta del Lobo patch with his option file (with some of my own custom edits of course) and that has a lot of extra players, and because of the FM database, you can create almost any player, and his stats will be there in the database (I did that with Zinha from Mexico, because he was listed as Brazilian so I couldn't put him on the national team, so I created him as Mexican)
If you want to try my option file, I could send it to you and you could see if you like it....just make sure you always make a backup of yours before you do any strange editing, or you could lose everything.!!!!
