Player retirement in Manager Mode

How can I avoid that a player retires?

The player is 35 and i tried to renew his contract, but i got the message that he planned to retire soon.

What can i do?

you can use Db Master for FifaData 07 to edit his retirement age in the Db file...but then you would have to start your manager mode over...

As Il Divino Codino said, use DB Master...

Run the DB Master program, open the 'fifa.db' located in the FIFA07/data/cmn
directory and wait until it loads. Click 'players' in the left panel, then search for the
name of your player, then scroll right until you see the column 'retirementage'
and then change the value to what ever you like. Save and then close.

No. To the best of my knowledge there are no tools out there for editing manager mode data files.

Does it matter??
I mean every player has to retire some day, Ronaldinho, Henry, van Nistelrooy, Rooney they all have to go one day

And on Fifa don't they come back as youngsters?

Not any more. FIFA 2005 and FIFA 06 worked that way, but FIFA 07 has eleven thousand or so (fictional) young players defined instead.
