I haven't bought the game jet. Is it true that you can't edit the players' attributes (name, skills, aspect...)?

ntalex you are wrong! I have Win 98!!! And it works realy great.. it loads a lot faster than FED2002 and is more easy to work... try again with your FCDB XP..

I ve a problem, your utility FCDB XP doesn t work at all.
I tried to use it with WC2002.
After any changes (player name, rating+ e.t.c.) all names become
corrupted. Does your utility suppose for Windows XP only?
I ve Win98, 128RAM, Celeron 633Mhz, Pro TNT2 video card.
Any help would be appreciated.

Your problem is caused by Windows 98 which doesn't save the files as
Windows NT does. I didn't know this issue before releasing FCDB XP of
course.
I have fixed this problem and other ones, and added function to make a
new version of FCDB XP that I hope release as soon as possible.
I'm really sorry but the only thing I can say at the moment is: keep
visiting Fifa French Touch and you will be able to download a true
version...

FCDB XP under Win98

Unfortunately, editor FCDB XP under Win98 doesn’t work at all. Author- S. Cadilhac promised to release an update, but when it comes nobody know.
Nevertheless, there is a way how to edit Attributes of the player (speed, shooting, e.t.c.) under Win98.
There is a sequence:
1. Make a copy of the FCDB_ENG.DBI (it depends what language do u prefer, ENG – means English).
2. Start FCDB XP
3. Make all necessary Player’s Attributes edition.
4. Save your changes
5. Exit FCDB XP
6. Replace FCDB_ENG.DBI with copy, which u made previously.
That’s all, it should work at least under Win98SE.
Some explanations.
The point is that FCDB_ENG.DBI is responsible for the player’s names.
So, after our edition it becomes completely corrupted, that’s why we have to backup the original one.
FCDB.DBI – is responsible for the Player’s Attributes.

Yes, u can't change the players names and team name without messing up, but u can do it with any HEX editior. Just replace original letters on what u want.
i.e.
Finland
Ukraine
The number of lettrs must not be more than original.
