Playing FIFA07 Until PES come out and ...

Yup, FIFA 07 is not bad. The gameplay now gets pass marks and with aspects of PES gameplay decending into farce in recent years, PES is no longer that far ahead. Indeed, there are many things in the FIFA gameplay which PES sadly lacks.

And when it comes to all the other things that make a good football game, FIFA is easily ahead. Manager mode, loads of teams, loads of great options, better gfx, sound, commentary, atmosphere, makes PES look shoddy and stagnant.

PES on-pitch gameplay is overall, still ahead, but FIFA is now the better overall package. EA are clearly the ones putting in the most effort. If they can nail the physics and continue to add depth to the AI, they'll be overtaking PES for all but the PES fanboys.

Some immature guys on this forum. Simple fact is that every year fifa is getting higher ratings. Me and my bro used to play fifa but left. But now he going back to Fifa adn i can kinda see why. I watched some PES6 videos. What haev they improved apart from licenses and animations???? is the gameplay any different. If anything the touches of the players look more loose. Players might find it hard to control an akward pass to Ronaldinho!

Konami have gotten complacent. An ambitous company will never rest on their laurels. I think they more interested in shining up solids snakes gun in metal gear than trying to vastly improve Pes. Gamespot have given Fifa 2007 a 8.9 this year. Last year it got a 8.8 i wonder what Pes6 will get.

Look a the fifa forums arround the world. the game has many bugs and there are also lags online. Well done EA, like every year. There will be a patch this week but there is every year a patch which don't solve all the problems.

My bro dont like it hes gettin fifa....i'm undecided about this game. I've played it since wednesday....i'm not sure i wanna pay 30 quid for a game that lacks depth....If Konami are just relying on gameplay to save their fanbase i fear for the future....THey need to improve more than just gameplay.


Fifa have put effort into their games. Every year there is a milestone of improvements. I mean look how the gameplay has changed over the years..Look at the interaction with their fans..asking questions taking suggestions..Konami wont even answer email....I mean after seeing fifa 07 on xbox360 you have to say they put some effort into that game...While pes6 uses the same method as current gen and releases what they've done so far...Obviously people will say gameplay gameplay. If thats all that is saving PES its like saying dont shoot me cuz i've got 1 pound today i'll pay u back your 5 grand tomo...Its a very fine line between Konami losing customers to EA or keeping customers satisfied.

KOnami are lucky in the fact they have 90% fan boys as their main buyers. So no matter what effort they put into their games since pes3 it doesnt matter much. The gameplay keeps them happy.

So in actual fact when EA finally get the gameplay right in the near future what happens then?? Because they will simple fact that people should come to terms with. A big company like EA thats released Madden and got that right. They have to. Because they know customers will be wanting more every year.

Someone complained about o they just add one team. No mate they certainly added a lot more than Konami have this year.

Its because FIFA had a lot to improve on their sh!tty gameplay and it still doesnt compare to PES 6. Who cares about kits and all that crap i want perfect gameplay...

the 360 version of FIFA looks amazing, it is worth to try it even just to see the exceptional graphics and physics. I have not tried it but the videos seem really impressive.

Well, I have Fifa 2007 for the 360. I'll say that it's a big improvement over previous fifas. The engine is superb, superb. If they add all the leagues back next year, add cup mode and super tweak gameplay it will no doubt surpass PES. Believe me, I am a big PES fan, stayed away from Fifa for years until this 360 version came out. Yes, FIFA 2007 is half @ssed, has lots of bugs but is still fun and shows us the foundation of what a next gen football game should be like. It has the looks, the sound and the feel. It's nowhere near polished though...hopefully 2008 will do it.

What happened with Fifa is it got really good in like 2000 and got loads of rep so thay had to live up to there name i dont think thay could do us all that but pes isnt as old as Fifa and its only really started compaired to fifa, its getting more and more rep now lets hope it gets better and better. Unlife fifa its still good just not as good as ppl expected. PES will remain the best in my mind just need to work on some more things other than the gameplay like the kits they need to get them licensed so they can already be on there with all the propper names, Also add more to the game more teams more leagues. But i dont really know whats going on with fifa not working hard at the moment...GET WITH IT FIFA..
