Playing origin offline

Yes, I have searched this, and all I have found is that you go into offline mode (go offline under the Origin menu) after logging in. When the internet goes out once I've started origin and gone to offline mode, I'm fine. The problem is if I start my computer up when I'm not connected to the internet and try to open origin, it gets stuck on the initial login screen and then tells me I can't log in. How can I access Origin's offline mode without logging in? Or do they need my authentication every time I use my PC to play a game I've purchased? Thanks.
