hello, everyone,
hope you're all enjoying your time in the forum.

I am a postgraduate student in the Manchester Business School . Currently, I am researching for my Master's dissertation on the impact of virtual communities, such as forums, bulletin boards and chat rooms, on consumer behaviour. My research is concerned with how people are affected in real life by their participation in these online communities.

As far as the Soccer gaming is concerned, this online community is the most idealized one for my research, in terms of its influence, operation maturity and member aggregation.

Therefore, I'm really grateful and appreciated if anyone having read this thread could do me this little favor to fill up my online survey which is only going to take about 5-8 mins to finish and is of paramount importance for my dissertation and graduation.

You should take a look on Massive Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game forums, I've lost 5 years of my life in an Everquest (one) guild :boohoo: Now those roleplayers are real nutcases, if they take it too far they don't come out to see the sun even anymore, you should take a look in google : "Everquest Uber Guild Raids DKP" and one advice : never play a MMORPG if you have addiction problems

i agree with stephan, those kind of games are more adicting
but if you center in those forums, your 'sample' (i think that's the word) won't reflect the majority
for now, this thread stays here, and i'll try to talk to the other mods and see if we can help you in some way
