each and every one of the crosses i make loop into the goal keepers hands... seems like the only way to score goals is long shots or to press z, then make yr striker run forward, lob it to him, chest down and shoot...

whenever i get on the flank and try crossing, ive tried using OTB control crossing and normal crossing, my winger plays a high slow looping ball

someone here said i need to hold c while crossing but that hasnt helped either

could someone plz just write a short guide to crossing in fifa 2004

Crossing with OTB works fine if your striker is on the edge of the penalty area. When the cross is delivered he'll receive it near the penalty spot and the goalie will not charge.
Also try to cross a bit early i.e from the edge of the area, don't go too close to the touchline

Um well lets see.....thats FIFA for ya. I've only been able to produce slow looping crosses too. I just use through ball (triangle) and power it up all the way to send a low ball across the box.;)

There is another game that seems to implement this perfectly by using R1 and R2 to send a cross low or high, and by pressing the lob button multiple times you can send it far post or near post, and of course the lob button powers up so you can kick as hard or soft as you want.:D God, when I start talking about this other game I wonder WTF I am doing playing FIFA.:kader:

Oh yeah Nera, your right. Sometimes, if your an a break, cross it early and they will send it in low and hard, but you don't have complete control.:(

Jason, if you're having trouble with your Power Up Meter advancing too fast on shots and lobs make sure you decrease the power in the Advanced Game Settings to just a few clicks above nil. It should solve your problem.

so in that case, is it not possible to make low crosses in fifa 2004

and is the only way to score from crosses to use the OTB function and cross from the edge of the goal area?

coz thats very unrealistic

Well this is what i do. I have center midfielders orcentral midfield defenders, i get my wingers to run to the flank. I wait and anticipate when my central midfielder will run into the box, and then is just simply lob the ball in and itl will come in aa low cross and land directly on the midfielder's thigh. Then just press shoot and he will wack it in.

Well I was talking about FIFA. The guy had a question so I tried to answer. Whats so bad about bringing up the fact that another game seemed to find a better way to implement the crossing? I didn't say FIFA sucks, I didn't say the "other" game was better than FIFA, I was merely trying to point out that if EA had thought about it a little more maybe we could have more control over the crosses.;) The subject is still FIFA 2004, besides, no one else had a problem with what I said.

Oh yes, I actually like FIFA 2004. So you can feel better about yourself because I don't think your stupid if you like FIFA.;)

Jason, that William Blum-dude is totally wrong!!! I'm in European politics and I'm definetly not a big Bush-fan, but I'd be even more opposed to this Blum guy. I'll quit now (it's the wrong forum, I know....) but every time I see your messages it bothers me a lot, and I just had to reply on it. After all, we're free to talk about anything in a free world, don't we?
