Pop-Ups driving me Insane!

I don't know how I got it or what I downloaded that I shouldn't have, but about a week ago I started getting these advertising pop-ups show up whenever a open a new browser window. They all seem to be from "ad.adserver.com"

I ran Adaware but it didn't help at all, anyone know an easy way to get rid of this?

One thing that might work is blocking that site:

Open your hosts file ("CWINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts") with notepad, and add a line saying

127.0.0.1	ad.adserver.com

nevermind man, I'm an idiot and spelled the web address wrong that I wanted to block!

I had a similar kind of thing a few years ago. Although that was worser I think, at a certain point my computer didn't even want to start up properly anymore.

I had my father work it out and he used 6 diffrent anti-spyware programs and did some fancy stuff to get my PC out of spyware-trouble.
