porblems with xp, and dont know what to do

hi erverybody, i have just got fifa wc 2002, and i installes it on a windows xp system....
the installation was ok, and the games starts .... but then....
when i start a game or even before the games freezes and the sound is repeating the last sound again and again,!!!!
that happens to me everytime and i have no chance to play a hole games....
i have checked the video driver, but i have the latest....
the only way to get out of the games, when it is froozen, is to rebbot the system...
does anybody know, how i can fix this bug on my pc???
please help me....

maybe it's the cd or the sound driver

check those... if the cd is failing to read it may freeze. Also if the sound drivers aren't really the correct ones...

If you have XP it's common that it doesn't install well some sound drivers, don't download hardware drivers from windows update, use the original ones from the manufacturer...

You gotta check the correct name and models of your chipset, sound chip if it's on board, etc.

try to open the control panel

see there what do you have installed on multimedia, sound, games, etc... audio drivers... whatever
