Watched the highlights on Sky Sports after the Carling Cup final.

Bellamy looked really good, he's been superb ever since his return from knee surgery.

What is it, 4 in 4 now for him? (Y)

Lua Lua scoring against his own club, I wonder what Bobby must be thinking.

I always liked LuaLua. I really think he needed to get out of toon for a little bit and play some games with no pressure of SBR. I think Lomano Tresor LuaLua will be back in Newcastle next season because Portsmouth will be playing in the coke league. Anyway not surprised at all by the result a draw aganist a lower tier squad seems to be the normal for us. Also Bellamy didn't look good. He has been playing great but that perm of his needs to go.

Yea he's been excellent for us, he can do something out of nothing, he's quick and his celebration... Pfffft unexplainable unless you were one of the geordies there today, stunning. And I disagree with the fact us going down, I doubt it.. Both Wolves and Leicester are both worse than us and we can play better football than Leeds. Injuries have just hit us so hard but I think we'll pick up, just unfortunate we have difficult games comin up and Leicester don't, but.. O well we'll do our best im sure

It looks like Dyer will be out four weeks. I figure it shouldn't hurt us too much Jenas is starting to play better and Woodgate will be fit for next week and honestly Dyer hadn't done anything in the past month anyway. Also maybe now Viana could see some more action.

Newcastle didnt come down here with ambition though, Shearer hardly touched the ball, we got whooped up at St James' but yesterday was completely different, we could and should of won but it was a brilliant game. My mate got shearer's match shirt :p Autographed.. Showed me it today.. Lol hardly ANY mud lmao!

Thats always a tough break when you are paying a guys wages, and HE SCORES AGAINST YOU!! especially such an important goal.

But it is better to let him play, most club dont let their loan players play against you, that why pretty much why.

that's the final reason for him playing.

But the deeper roots of the problem is Newcastle ineptitude to do good business or to negociate anything in their favour ... even more so when their in the more powerful position.
If pompey wanted LuaLua we should have imposed our regulation ...or at least him not playing v us.

its just the same kind of dodgy thinking that is our downfall every time.

Portsmouth also took him completely off Newcastle's wage bill...so i guess they couldnt ask for more...well they could have, but maybe they forgot :confused:

Yea we managed to make sure Dabizas' move invovled him not playing us but not LuaLua. What is Fat Freddie doing?
