Ricardo Carvalho and Paulo Ferreira still missing!!!
If Hugo gets his beloved national call-up before Carvalho, then you all pray Scolari has good security around him! I have totally supported him 'till now, but Ferreira missing for the second straight time...
I like him because he has the balls not only to leave the "old ladies" out of the team, but also to call-up many youngsters.
João Pinto, Vitor Baía and Nuno Gomes won't wear the Portugal shirt as long as Scolari is around.
Petit also deserves a chance (at least one game), if Luís Loureiro did. But this comment maybe be biased.

I hope Moreira gets his first cap before EURO 2004. I think he deserves it. No way he goes to the final squad for the competition, but giving him the first AA appearance would boost-up his morale for future challenges.

I finally feel we have more than 30 players with enough quality to wear the national shirt and having great perfomances. Never thought we could have such amount of talent for the team! Especially from the midfield to upfront, but also in defence and in goal.

He played well at Euro 2000 if I remember correctly. But... Costinha is better IMO, Vidigal is stronger tho.

I agree the time for testing is over, If Scolari doesnt get a base team playing together against good teams, we're screwed.
Another factor is I think some U21 players are already very useful and should be called up to the Euro if they have good seasons, does the U21 qualifying thingie end after the Turkey and England game??? The A team shouldnt put aside Tiago, Ronaldo, Quaresma, Postiga, Viana just because the U21 needs them for some prep games.
Other than that F. Couto is not likely to get First team football in Lazio this year, and Scolari hasnt called up R. Carvalho yet

Its kinda gay that Jorge Costa rennounced to the NT he could be more useful than an out of form F. Couto at this time.
I really hope Scolari gives playtime to Frechaut in these two games he seems to be in top form and is a really solid and versatile defender.

btw england never scored 3 goals to portugal in the Euro 2000 they scored 2, figo made the 2-1, joao pinto 2-2 and nuno gomes 3-2
