So what? Does that mean that Turkey was miles a head of Portugal in 2000 when Galatasaray won the uefa cup?

There is no doubt that Portugese clubs used to be great but at the moment they are on the level of Holland, Greece, Turkey etc.

Fenerbahce and Galatasaray also include many other sports than Football, but you apparently don't know anything about turkish football.

U are the one that don't seem to know Portuguese clubs, cause we are better in football but also in some other important sports so try to get some information before talk. :rolleyes:

What exactly did I say about portugese clubs that wasn't true?
You are no where near the same level of the big leagues like Italy, Spain, England and Germany. Don't you agree?

U are so ridiculous man, see the history of the clubs and you'll shut up for sure. BTW in 2000 Porto almost went to the semi-finals of Champions League and Portugal eliminated Turkey in EURO 2000 quarter-finals. ;)

Honestly, no one often cares about the U21. Just because Turkey beat Portugal doesn't make them the best, nor does it make it better, because any team can beat another team, and like I said before, that is life. You guys should get a concept of it.

That European SuperCup that Galatasaray won was actually mainly because of Jardel in a good day. I remember Galatasaray being dominated then Jardel scored an amazing goal in a counter attack or something like that.

and virgo..you are the guy who insults here..anwayz why cant you just accept you have LOST? when your u21 team wins, your u21 team is the best in the world.when they lose, u21 is not important.Turkey got the 3rd place in 2002 world cup and Portugal sucked.you gotta admit that portuguese football is not great at all.you have individual talents but you cant play well.ok cristiano ronaldo plays in man unt and quaresma plays in barca ( and they're subs).22 year old nihat plays in real sociedad.and scoring 23 goals in la liga..what bout that? 22 year old emre is playing superb in the toughest league, seria a.those are young players too and they played in u 21 team 2 years ago.2 years later guys like tuncay, hamit altýntop, kemal and many others will play in great european clubs, thats for sure.and you say you are good at other sports.Turkey basketball team is surely better than portugal's ( 2001 european 2nd).Our wrestlers are known to be the best.Süreyya Ayhan keeps on breaking 1500 m records...and the list goes on...but all those are said as answers to you but said for nothing.You just gotta accept that you lost, and Turkish football teams are better than yours.both A team and u21 team.dont try to hide your jealousy by saying ronaldo, quaresma are great blah blah and..blah :hump:

by the way that was turkeys first world cup , any turkish team is not close to what fc porto has done last year. Also portugal A team messed up to me the coach picked some bad players and made bad decisions such as not letting one of the best players in the world Rui Costa play in the last game and barely putting nuno gomes. Also name me some great historic things turkey has done in football or some historic players well ill give u hagi he was great. Look at Portugal Eusebio,Figo,Rui Costa,Simoes,Chalana
