Porto didn't deserve it... 1 chance 1 goal...
But it wins the team who scores more and not the team who have more chances...

I think Porto showed lots of class today, i mean, so much things against us, the injuries, the punishments, a horrible first half, but still we were able to win the match, and don't tell me Porto only had one chance to score! It was definetly the revenge of the Cup final for me, for the heart our players showed playing this game i think it was more than fair our victory. One more trophy to us lampiões!

Punkt i think your wrong, Miguel played better than Simao. He was the heart of the team
well to the game, Porto started good, but Diego got injured and Benfica dominated and should have scored. second half Porto played better until they scored, which was a nice move by Quaresma,Then Benfica piled on the pressure.
i don't think this will be our only trophy, mainly because Fernandez has been working with this group for a week in half. Just wait until we get going, this win today is huge.
PS, did you see Seitairidis celebrate at the end, lol, it seemed like he won the Euro cup again.

I think this win was fantastic! There was so much against us: only a week and a half with our new coach, different training methods, different philosophy; players injured, players suspended, players in Athens and in their NTs coming back just 48 hours before the game; Quaresma and Diego injured during the match (plus wasting 2 substitutions)... But we did it! And it was a great win, a great, great win!!!
Honestly, I thought our players almost celebrated more yesterday than when they actually won the CL!
What seemed obvious in the first half - that Benfica dominated and could have scored, but without really having more than one good chance - was that Fernandez didn't really know some of his players, which is normal, since he practically hasn't even coached a part of them!
The second half was totally different: Fernandez clearly took the chance to correct the positioning of his players. With Porto coming up with a new attitude, a new will, we forced Benfica to stay on their half of the field and naturally scored a goal. After that was just doing what we do best: control the match, giving few or no chances for our opponents to score.
And now a paragraph dedicated to the biggest OWNAGE I remember in a Porto x Benfica match!
I don't really like Quaresma's style. I don't like his lack of effort on the defence, his constant bitching with the refs and adversaries, his dumb dribbles when he should have passed the ball, etc.
And then he did THAT. And to none other than Argel himself!
I taped that move and watched it over and over and over and over! What a feel-good piece of football, eheh. Poor Argel got stuck in the sand until his knees, poor fellow.
Oh well, you can't really argue when your team loses with a goal like this.

A fine match between the two top teams in our country, where the winner deserved to get the trophy in the end of the day (congrats to Baía too).
Thumbs up for the referee and his team. I didn't notice the referee was actually on the field. And that is GREAT! I think we should clone Carlos Xistra. Wonderful work, indeed. When they screw, we all flame. But when they do a great job, then they should be praised aswell.

I watched the game and i have to say it was kinda boring. The pitch was just terrible aswell. I was keen to see Diego play but ******* Paulo Almeida had to injury him (he did it a lot here in Brazil, not with Diego of course but you got the picture).
Quaresma is just class, Rikjaard was a fool for not playing him.
