PotD : TEoaE Problems

Can I also just add to this forum before I go one thing regarding PotD : TEoaE problems - PLEASE (as Drinky has already said, but just in-case) before you E-Mail, post a forum reply\message or whatever with your problems, PLEASE first un-install FIFA 2000 COMPLETELY (even deleting the folder afterwards!), then install FIFA 2000 again (clicking custom install and selecting EVERY installable FIFA 2000 component), then install the EA English commentary patch (feat. John Motson and the bunch) if you don't have the English version with it already on (DON'T INSTALL ANY OTHER PATCHES FOR FIFA 2000 THOUGH, INCLUDING THE OTHER EA ONES!), and then install PotD : TEoaE (you don't have to have the original PotD installed beforehand or anything, in-fact that will cause problems!). Just a query rather than a complaint Chris and Drinky.

If I want to put some new Stadiums or pop-ups into my game like the Sky Sports pop-ups or the new Wembley stadium, how do I do it? There just seems so many folders with the new patch.

Could you tell me which Gen files these stadiums are please? Old Trafford and Wembley???

I added the Sky Sports patch as for some reason (and yes, I uninstalled, reinstalled fully again and everything) I couldn't get the POTD score popup. The Sky Sports patch isn't perfect, but it's cool and doesn't effect POTD at all.

You can do this yourself, you don't need and help. There was no pop up graphics in POTD so adding pop ups shouldn't be a problem. CHeck and see if the misc16 file was modified with POTD. As for your gen folders, you can assign up to 64 stadiums with fed2000. just name the gen folder one that hasn't been used yet and assign the club the new stadium.

There will be a new Wembley, using the converted Euro 2000 model, but with all the advertising, details, and tweaks that were in the POTD, in our August season update.

Indygo - Popups are VERY hard to do and to be honest I am quite lost on how to do them, Drinky too! I am going to E-Mail the creator of the FABULOUS Sky Sports graphics patch today (feel free to add that to your PotD, it really is fantastic) and see if he will make a BBC Match of the Day one - I am preying that he will do one, but if he doesn't, I now have his permission to use the Sky Sports one in PotD anyway!

Still, a BBC one would be SO much more authentic, what with the commentators being the real BBC ones as well... As for the GEN files, I'd rather not tell you that because I don't like people altering what is already perfect (although Wembley will be a completely new and 100% realistic version thanks to Drinky in the Season 2000\2001 update!).

Schumacher - I only added those VERY slightly altered popup graphics because I didn't want to leave them the same as FIFA 2000's default, I admit they aren't too hot at all, and the Sky Sports graphics patch by my good friend (as I say above) is the best I have ever seen.

fifafanatic - There were no altered popup models in PotD but there were VERY slightly altered graphics (PotD logo on the top right corner of each popup). And for your information I have actually fixed the rosters so assigning anything to the English clubs will not work. It will either crash the game or FEd2000 won't let you do it. I hate people altering the already perfect (although I can see why altering Div. One stadium assignments is a good idea since we don't have enough time to make them).

Problems:

1. Sometimes, the wrong stadium is displayed. I once had a Liverpool home game played at what appears to be Reebok Stadium.
2. The numbers on the kits switch between the original and Premiership designs during a match. I even had both designs appear during the same time.

I have uninstalled/deleted and then reinstalled everything, but problems persist. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Suggestions for season update:
1. black numbers on light kits, white numbers on dark kits

Hmmm. Try this:
Once you've run Fifa's uninstall program, click on My Computer, then your hard drive, then manually delete the FIFA 2000 Folder. There are a number of files the uninstall program simply won't trash manually. If that doesn't work, I'd suggest you download the patch again because something might have been lost -- do you have a slow net connection?

I have only just downloaded PotD and:

Leeds had the wrong kits, I have read enough other similar problems with Leeds so I think it's the patch. I also play in Leeds default stadium, not the patch's Elland Road. I used FEd2000 to find out that Leeds play at gen23, and fsh sonique to find out that gen23 is Elland Road. SO WHY DON'T I PLAY THERE?????

And Chris, before you ask, Yes I did.

When you uninstall, it removes all the game files but not the user files. These have to be deleted manually. Delete your user files in the user directory and all will be well.

Hi Chris and Drinky,

I've to admit that PoTDTEoaE is a marvellous patch. But here is some bug that you all must correct. I have played Liverpool for one season and then qualified for the UEFA Cup as the Cup winners. But when the game asked for another season continuation, of course I answered yes. Then, the game went off to Windows 98. What's the problem? I think you use Tree's roster which see some teams are not connected to some of the competition. Thanks.

btw, it's a great patch but not with the stadiums. I prefer if you all can convert all the stadium structures in FA Premier League Stars or the FAPL Football Manager 2000 like what Rimo at fifamania.it did for EURO 2000 game.
