Online play would be nice, but anyone getting attached to the idea of it being implemented in the pc version is setting themselves up for disappointment.

It is most likely that PES 4 will have online play...look Its the year of 2004 so why not?!!?

haven't heard any news about it, only rumours in one of interviews with seabass who said if they'll make online they will make it for PC first

but Konami have never officially confirmed that will be this year so it could be even in 2005, nobody knows it yet

Even so, some people in this thread seem certain that it will be in.

I know Konami haven't said that, I just wanted that guy to admit they didn't and that he's just hoping/guessing it will be in the pc version.

I actually think they r working on it...if they figure it out it will be in this years game and if not...we will have to wait...its a matter of time and november/october is around the corner...

If it is in the game, which i suspect it won't be, but if it is then it will most likely be VERY buggy, and will require numerous patches for it to work right. Even FIFA took some doing to get working online properly at first, even with all their resources, and Konami have little experience in online gaming. No to mention that time is rather tight for them to get it working (along with the rest of the PC conversion) by October/November. I'd love to be proven wrong, but i will be pleasantly surprised if online play makes it this year.

if i'm not mistaken, the pes/we series is developed in japan, right? In japan, online gaming hasn't really taken off and doesn't even look to take off in the future. probably why the developers decided not to make online capability a top priority. and i'm pretty sure we/pes is the top soccer brand in japan. i agree though, online play would be nice, but it would just be icing on the cake.

Eventhough PES hasnt got online play its not that unknown but when it goes online it will rape FIFA...
