I don't watch preseason games but I read the report and it seems Oscar did very well and scored twice against Milan. Conte is said to be basing a lot of his personnel decisions on these games - is it enough to persuade him to let him stay?

On the downside, it was against an Italian side which means it will have made the news in Italy which is apparently where all the clubs that want to sign him are

Annoyingly the place I was watching it closed and turned the TVs off before the end so I didn't see the denouement, but I was pleased with the way we held possession and didn't allow them chances - and Matic/Kante was a big part of that - they kept the pressure off the questionable terry-Cahill duo. Our biggest issue was quality of supply but that is something we can work on. Not exactly a glorious first win but West Ham are not bad and at least it's 3 points.

Thats why I hate Matic Kante partnership but I havem't seen it in action. They are too similar to play together imo and they provide the same skillset. Both of them will only be able to make simple passes, nothing more.

This is precisely the kind of football you get with classic double pivot. They work hard and keep the ball moving but offer nothing forward. As Barca fans would say, ANTI FOOTBALL at its best.
