Yeah, I remember him doing well last year, but he's been struggling IMO so far. Maybe he just need time

People have to remember how young Arsenal's team is. So many youngsters only 20 and 21 fighting for a first team place, people forget that msot players don't peak until 27 onwards. For instance John Terry was a very distinctly average defender at 21, hell 2 years ago he was only a half-decent defender. Then he took the step up into being probably England's best defender.

Why does Senderos start ?

From what I've seen in the first 2 matches and the CS, he's sucked

Because we have nae cunt else!

That's screwed up, we lose to a goal that i can score. I was so pissed off, and I had crap to do, I must have sworn at 30 people yesterday.

ahaahha

from both games I have seen this season from Chelsea and Arsenal, both teams lack key factors

Drogba can't finish for sh*t, Crespo can finish but can't get past any defenders, Lampard wasn't even there, Robben is not the same as he was last season...

Arsenal don't have a center forward, van Persie hasn't grown up, Pires is old, Henry can't do anything with that captain armband, Toure is the one man defence...

It is Man U or Liverpool this season....

Drvar

Starting XI
mika, Man U has no midfield (yet), and Liverpool's strikers cant finish **** either. each team has their weak points.

Arsenal haven't had a decent center forward since Wright left.

Jeffers sucked, Wiltord was played as a wide right, Bergkamp plays deep, Henry and Kanu are flair players.

Mika....and all that after 2 games huh?You must be a genius to be able to work out the winners of the league so early in the season.
You are obviously an expert on the EPL.......man you seem to know everything about football in general......maybe you are so smart you should apply to be president of fifa.

Funny to see how Chelsea spent a lot of money on players and they missed the key factor : a decent attacker. Crespo wont get past any defenders on the EPL, Drogba is way overrated and his finishing is poor, and they dont have that fast guy upfront, to open up spaces and support their striker. All you see is either Crespo or Drogba isolated as the lone man. Plus Robben is being played at the right, and he's not doing much there.

They needed a forward, but they only have strikers.

just to point out, RvN has scored a free-kick goals, and against everton he hit the post with one i believe as well. but hey, who really cares, as long as he scores its fine by me. if you think that goals dont count if they're not hit from at least 18 yards, maybe you need to review some basic rules of football. and if you do not believe rooney is worth his value, maybe you are in fact correct. but remember, all he did on his debut was score a hattrick :) ;)
something to think about?

Christ, I was joking. I'm refraining from using the roll-eyes button, even though Man Utd fans tend to deserve it...

In the same way people say Drogba scores lucky, simple goals, RVN does the same. Granted Drog is not in the same league as RVN (that's obvious by the Dutchman's insane record in front of goal)... As I said, some people need a sense of humour :boohoo:

Couldn't care less about whether Rooney scored a hat-trick against a minnow in the CL. He played more games than Drog last season and only scored 1 more goal last season and provided less assists than Drogba. I don't doubt Rooney is more talented, but his 27m transfer has not yeilded any greater results than Drogba's 24m. The only thing Rooney has on his side is age.

Rooney is very talented, but he's also the future Paul Gascoigne, something to think about?

Actually, that's a very good point. But imo Rooney creates a lot of chances himself. Rooney can do things that Drogba just simply can't do. Like the goal he scored on tour ( the one where he dribbled through 3 players and then chipped the keeper, like Eric) Drogba couldn't do that...and that volley Rooney scored against Newcastle, Drogba just is....well, he's shit.

Ahh yes, Mika. This was the guy who claimed Chelsea had no chance at repeating this year because they lost Smertin

and Kezman
:| :| :|

Anyway, people who say Drogba is completely worthless clearly havent seen all his goals. His freekick against PSG: His two goals at Boro last year, his goal against Newcastle. All were well taken, the first a freekick and the second two while going right past defeders. Comparing him to Rooney can work in terms of fee and goal tally, but there can be no doubt who has the more natural talent. But people love to stick didi just because he cost so damn much. That, like his shin goal, was a fluke. He was maybe worth 10 million, but Kenyon didnt take no for an answer. Now, im going to slap the next person that goes "LOLOL DROGBA 4 27 MILLION HES A PIECE OF CRAP, LOLZ CHEL$KI"

First off, Crespo will be able to get past English defenders, as he is one of the best finishers in the world. Most Milan fans, I thought, felt the same way. But your kind of hinting at the way the two of them should be played. Many are speculting Jose will try a 4-4-2 if the team doesnt get going soon enough, and if that happens, it would Drogba, who is a targetman, partnered with Crespo, who is a finisher. Then people will be able to see their talents on full display.

At the moment the 4-3-3 is just too dogmatic from last year to be discarded after two slow games. And there are too many wingers to sit.
